Modern actors for ST characters

Hi everybody

A friend and I recently discussed which modern day and maybe even popular actors can play ST characters. Doesn't matter which series.

So...anyone interested in posting their thoughts on this?

Great minds think alike NG.1, after reading the Bash Ben Affleck thread yesterday I almost made this exact thread (which we have talked about on various threads a couple times over the years).

These are off the top of my head......

Viggo Mortenson.....as the Captain
Charlize Theron.....as a female Captain
Hugh Jackman.....as security officer
Tony Amendola (Bra'tac).....as president of the Federation or a head Klingon.
Jerri Ryan.....revise the 7 of 9 role
Colin O'Ferrell.....as the super evil foe
Rainbow Sun Francks.....as maybe a young ensign or first officer
Jason Momoa.....as a Klingon warrior
Paul McGillion.....as the Dr. of course
Brad Pitt.....as the new Data

I would love to see Hugh Jackman as a Captain or Commander. Good call.

Aye, Clive Owen would be a good addition to Star Trek. I don't really see him as an engineer though, he doesn't have that everyman look, like Scotty and O'Brien. I see him more as a bridge officer, maybe not Captain, but as First Officer in the Riker mould.
