    Just watched the episode "One".

Why oh why did that red shirt have to be so stupid? The dude walks in, sees a big giant machine in the middle of the room, very obviously Borg, and walks over to it, without a look of concern or anything.

hello, the console just got assimilated, go get Seven of Nine or Belanna for gods sake.

    Fortunately, he didn't die.

Nah, he was more of the Vorik-esque/Ayala/Carey type character. Still though, to be stupid enough to walk up to a borg thingymajig is pretty sad.

Do not let people fool you . If you liked Voyager so far, Endgame will not disappoint you. We see Janeway at her best.

For some reasons, I have some issues with Chakotay's character. I don't know if it's the acting but I just can't get comfortable. Don't get me wrong, I love the dynamics between every characters.

So far, Janeway, Kes and The Doctor I fell for. (I'm now at season 4)

One of the important things I like about Voyager is that it is faster paced then DS9 or TNG. Don't get me wrong I love theses shows too, but sometimes episodes can be a bit slow going, but Voyager seems to have something going on more consistantly.

I absolutely agree about Chakotay- and I think it was a mixture of lazy writing and lazy acting- and I think those two aspects started running around each other digging the character further into a hole as the series went on. Which was too bad, because there was some potential there, I think they probably could have done a better job casting the part, Beltran didn't do it for me, I don't think he had enough character to him. That's the issue- Janeway and Chakotay had too similar demeanors, they would go into that ready room and have a conversation, and I always felt like the exact same words would be said if their roles were reversed. They should have had someone who added a little more contrast as Chakotay, because the casting of Mulgrew was spot on. I think it would have greatly improved both the characters. It could have made a lifeless relationship a lot more interesting.

I thought the dynamics between all the other characters were a lot more interesting and better written- even Harry Kim, who was usually not very interesting at all by himself, once interacting with other characters, became a lot more animated.

I hate plank boy too! I think a factor of Robert Beltran's character is that he *hates* Science Fiction. So this was probably just a regular paying gig rather than an acting project.

Perhaps, but it was initially Geneviève Bujold who had the part of the captain. Thank god they changed her! Still, Mulgrew and Beltran had a nice chemistry.

That's weird. He did a special about Star Trek with other cast members. Can't remember the name though. Maybe he just like his fellow cast mate.
