MY favorite starship is the Soverign class Enterprise "E" followed closely by the Constitution class Enterprise "A". I know they're probably the stereotypical choses, but that's what I like.

For me, it has always been the Defiant. Such a tough mean little ship. And for such a small ship it packs one hell of a weapons array. I'd love to see a whole fleet of Defiant class ships

Originally posted by McClanceThere's been more than three. There's been at least 6 on screen--3 on DS9 and 3 on VOY.
So, there's been (2) Defiants- one of which was renamed cuz it was known as something else which I forgot the name of... San something maybe.
Monitor.
Another one I forgot that's in DS9.
What else is there?

Defiant
Defiant-A (originally named Sao Paulo)
Valiant (DS9's "Valiant")
Monitor - Is that the one in William Shatner's The Return?
In VOY:
2 unnamed in "Message in a Bottle" with an Akira-class and at least 1 unnamed in "Endgame"sigpic

And Monitor was the test bed for Borg technology. It was having some fun before it got owned by someone or other and that's all I remember. And when I say owned, that's an understatment.

I watched "Message in a Bottle" just recently, but I can't remember if the Defiant-class ship was named. Probably wasn't though. It might've been the Sau Paulo, 'cos the Prometheus incident took place long before the first Defiant was destroyed."Captain, you almost make me believe in luck."

Originally posted by OranosIt was the Sau Paulo. I checked it out. Sisko requested the name change from the Sau Paulo to the Defiant."Captain, you almost make me believe in luck."

Originally posted by OranosNope. The Sau Paulo is most certainly a named ship.
I wasn't stating it as fact. I just was speculating that it could've been part of the escort to retake the Prometheus. I did some more checking around. The Sau Paulo couldn't have been one of the Defiant-class ships. It was launched in the last few weeks of the Dominion war."Captain, you almost make me believe in luck."
