Smallville Back For Another Season

Now that Smallville is officially picked up for an eighth season, negotiations will begin with Allison Mack and Michael Rosenbaum, both of whom had contracts which end with Season Seven. No official deals have been signed for them as of yet. Kristin Kreuk will be back for at least part of Season Eight.

Tom Welling, Aaron Ashmore, Laura Vandervoort, Erica Durance, and John Glover are all still signed and expected to return for the show's eighth year.

Glad to hear the ones listed are returning, but I don't really care for Lex and Lana anymore, Lana especially. Just hope Allison comes back though.

i agree, Lana is a great character but, she just doesn't seem the same since she married and divorced Lex.

Are they ever gonna do anything else with the Justice League? Personally, that's been the highlight of the series.

And I know I've heard/seen it 100 different places that TW said he'd never wear the suit but it's been a while. Has that changed?

If Lex is only a guest actor, then they're going to need a new weekly villain...

...and yes, Clark better start heading towards flying. I still think they should rename it to "Metropolis". If they brought in more of the League, more meaningful battles... eh. Then they could hold it until a season 9.

Personally, I think the first time we'll get to actually see him fly will be in the final episode. That's just something I've felt for a long time. By fly though, I mean totally under control, like the Superman we all know.

Man, I would be all for that. Sadly though, I don't know how realistic that is. After all, two actors won't be full-time after this season. Others may choose to leave in the future too.
