I don't know what you all think, but Brainiac's return was awesome IMO. The opening sequence of this ep was great. And

Brainiac is turning out to be an awesome villain IMO. But geez, are they ever going to refer to him as "Brainiac"?

What the..? Brainiac, is a computer, his mission was to assimilate all data and become the greatest resource of knowledge in the universe, unfortunately he was given too much self-awareness and intelligence and realised he could never gather all knowledge as all around the universe more things would keep happening so he learns an entire planets history up to a point then destroys it.

In some stories he's blamed for the destruction of Krypton.

Indeed! He isn't a Kryptonian, or a clone of one. He was simply made by them. If I may say, a big mistake on their part. I can't wait to see what he's up to tonight.

Brainiac is a creation of the ship, which is a creation of Kryptonian technology; much like the dude in "Scorched Earth" on SG-1, except VERY corrupt in performing its duty!
