Sanctuary Preview For Friday, October 22
Pop Culture Zoo
The third season of any series usually ends up being the “slump season†(I’m looking at you Lost), but this year Sanctuary really feels like it’s just getting started. The creativity and writing has hit new highs and I’m really enjoying the interactions between the characters.
Sanctuary – I loved everything except the Twilight shout-out

"Firewall" left me intrigued by the creepy new abnormals and the cool ending. (And it's about time someone at the Sanctuary went bonkers.)
So after ragging on Sanctuary last week, how about I share what I liked about episode 2?
Continuity.
Continuity proves to me that the writers care about the show. Don’t you hate it when a character goes through a traumatic event and then somehow has completely returned to normal by the next episode? A serious show must allow its characters to develop and be changed by their experiences. That’s why I’m glad Will isn’t back to his old self yet. He’s messed up. He can’t sleep. He’s become a liability to the team and thinks he’s going bonkers. That’s actually great. We need to see the aftermath of Mumbai (he was DEAD for a good 15 minutes).
If your bank’s checking fees and overdraft penalties haven’t stressed you out, an Abnormal stashed in a safe deposit box might do the trick. Magnus and Co. try to make an unusual withdrawal, but it turns out that the critter already hatched, busted out and found a new hiding spot in a human host, which compels Kate to stage an armed robbery as a cover for the necessary quarantine. — Michael Chant
