TELEVISION REVIEW: Sanctuary Gets Deadly in Season 2!
    http://eclipsemagazine.com/television/12884/

WARNING this article contains major spoilers

"Series creator Damien Kindler has written a spectacular script for the second season premiere. He has put his characters into situations that cannot help but change them, maybe even scar them. He has done justice to the mythic concepts on which the series is based. Martin Wood has taken Kindler’s words and translated them into a thoroughly absorbing entertainment that resonates as far into the mind as the lizard brain [which, folks, is kinda scary!].

Now that Sanctuary is returning with such a terrific opening salvo, the real challenge the show’s creative team has is matching the quality of these first two episodes.

    Final Grade: A+"

I didn't read the article because of the spoilers, but I'd have to say the "A+" was the best part of it though.

Awesome, the article calls the show "genius."

Btw I just remembered, I never posted these here-

InnerSpace- Behind the Scenes: Sanctuary Pt. 1 of 3

InnerSpace- Behind the Scenes: Sanctuary Pt. 2 of 3

InnerSpace- Behind the Scenes: Sanctuary Pt. 3 of 3

Btw, you've gotta really watch part 3, it's the best, Amanda and Robin are SO freaking cute and awesome, be sure to read the descriptions I wrote on the side for the vids if you want if you want. And oh, it sounds like Amanda's got the sniffles in part 3.

I love how Amanda's the Thumbnail for all 3 vids.

              Sanctuary is a Dunne deal
But actor will always take a job in Jays front office

              By BILL HARRIS

              http://www.edmontonsun.com/entertain...51236-sun.html

Make no mistake, Robin Dunne is happy with his acting job on Sanctuary. But e has a passion for baseball.

"I'm a diehard fan, I'll watch the Blue Jays, up or down," said Dunne, a native of Toronto.

"And with J.P. Ricciardi gone as general manager, maybe I could put myself up for the job."

-- "Sanctuary" (10 p.m., Syfy), starring Amanda Tapping and Robin Dunne, returns for a second season of special effects. This fantasy series is shot almost entirely in front of a "green screen," allowing for plenty of fantastic creatures -- and explaining some of the less-than-natural performances by some of the humans involved.

"Sanctuary" airs right after "Stargate Universe" (9 p.m., Syfy), the newest incarnation of the long-running franchise. It's interesting to note that last Friday, the premiere of "Universe" on a cable network drew slightly more viewers than "Dollhouse" on Fox, a broadcast network.

Wow, it's hard to believe the season premiere we've all been waitng for is tonight, I mean this is a lot of months in the making, and now we're only hours away.

Who wants to make a bet that Sanctuary will either be higher or the same as SGH's premiere on Space, ratings wise?

EXCERPT: A couple weeks ago, I had the opportunity to take part in a conference call Q&A session with Amanda Rapping and Robin Dunne of Sanctuary [Syfy, Friday, 10/9C], the first regular series to shot predominantly in CG. The first season ended in a particularly lovely cliffhanger and I was among those who was allowed to screen the second season premiere – a two-part exercise in bold adventure and sacrifice – which made the Q&A session even more fun than usual [plus, Rapping and Dunne are genial and witty in and of themselves…].

                        Oct 8 2009

Last season, Sanctuary [Syfy, Fridays, 10/9C] made the movie from webisodes to full blown television series – impressing a lot of people along the way. Its first season ended with a cliffhanger that was a real mindblower: the discovery that Helen Magnus’ daughter, Ashley, had been turned into a superweapon under the control [and through the scientific tinkering] of The Cabal. Worse, they’d taken five absolutely normal human beings and turned them into similar weapons.
Season Two begins pretty much where Season One left off – and the gloves are off!

Amanda Tapping and Robin Dunne Return In "Sanctuary"
                            Oct 9 2009

EXCERPT: MediaBlvd> How is the dynamic and relationships between the characters going to change in Season 2?

Amanda> I think because it's our second season you're going to see a lot of changes in terms of the interpersonal relationships. I think Season 1 was very much about introducing everybody - introducing the Sanctuary itself, the creatures, what everyone does and where they come from. And so now Season 2 is just - now we get to play within those parameters. And obviously we start our season with a massive - we ended Season 1 with a massive cliffhanger and start with this very highly intense two-part episode. And not to tease anything up but it, you know, it looks like things are changing at the Sanctuary. Season - Episode 3 will be very much about trying to rectify that situation and I don’t know how much we’re allowed to say. There are changes and we are bringing in new characters. You'll see a lot more of Henry this year than you did last year. We’re bringing in a wonderful new character named Kate Freelander. The relationship between and Druitt and Magnus changes and most importantly the relationship between Magnus and Will becomes, I think, so much deeper and so much more intense.

                                [Nice article!]

Amanda Tapping played the character of Samantha Carter for 10 years of Stargate SG-1 and put in more time as "Sam" on both Stargate Atlantis and the series' offshoot movies. And while the Stargate will never be far away, it's her new show -- Sanctuary, on the SyFy network -- that's getting most of her love right now. In honor of that show's second season starting this Friday, October 9, let's take a little look back at where Amanda has been.

We talked to Ms Tapping all about her roles as both star and executive producer of Sanctuary in part one of our interview, but here, the actress tells us more about Stargate -- past, present, and future.

At the risk of incurring the wrath of rabid sci-fi fans – many of whom have supported the show since it debuted as an Internet series in early 2007 – Sanctuary still looks slapped-together.
