Sanctuary Discussion (Spoilers for the most recent episode)
Do it for Amanda Sally, do it for Amanda, only 6 more days. Remember, think of Amanda-- oh wait, no, that'll make you wanna watch it even more . Wait to see it on the big screen like all of us, it'll be like a Samanda TV night
i'm waiting, i'm waiting!
hmm, this just popped into my head... i wonder if i'll become a helen/john shipper?
Good girl . A Helen/John shipper? I like it . John would be a very lucky guy, I mean, where else would he find a 157 year-old babe like her? .
i don't go into shows looking for a ship couple, but it's wonderful when one comes to me!
i think helen and john have igniting chemestry, but that's basically because amanda and chris are such great actors. chris is very intense.
but i'll need that magic ingredient - sexual chemistry. i'm not feeling it yet, but that's 'yet' and i hope to. but really, we haven't seen that much of john with helen to get there yet, at least for me.
i don't think i'll ever become a helen/will shipper. robin is so dang young looking and i'm not sure i'm attracted to him, you know. but robin's made will a very likeable character, so i'm totally rooting for their developing friendship.
but i won't mind other characters coming in as helen's lovers. of course, i'm hoping for actors *i'm* attracted to , like, say, ben browder or steve bacic, who played the goauld camulus. i find those men drool-worthy.
graphic novels are adult comic books. Not adult as in porn but adult in that the themes covered in the novels are more something that adults can understand and comprehend.
Did you see the movie "V for Vendetta"? That was based on a graphic novel.

I prefer to be called Sunny, Sun or SK. Thanks.

i haven't seen that movie, but i've heard of it.
i guess what i'm trying to find out is were the webisodes also graphic novel like in looks? i'm trying to figure out if the new episodes are going to look different in style and such than what we saw in the webs?

The webisodes were graphic novel in looks because of the rendered backgrounds which created a very stylized world.
It looks as if I am not the only one who couldn't wait until next week.
<-- This is what I look like right now (although not quite as green )
Generalized spoilers followed by slightly more specific ones:
Spoiler:
I was a bit skeptical about whether I would like the changes to the show. After watching the sneak preview, I have a feeling that I am going to love the TV version even more than the webisodes. It was really, really good IMO. I liked the new costumes, music, dialogue. It really seems richer in terms of story and character development. And I love how AT is playing Helen now (not that I didn't before but...). She still has the same spunkiness, but there is a real soulfulness to her performance in the sneak preview. Same with Robin and the way he is playing Will now - there is just more depth in the performances.
Specific spoilers for Episode 1:
Spoiler:
Amanda and Robin were so good in that last scene on the parapet. The only thing I didn't like as much in the preview was the CGI. I actually thought the creatures and Alexei's apendage looked more realistic in the webisodes. But it might just be my computer screen and the fact that it was a streaming video. The other CGI (buildings, rooms, etc.) looked really good.

Sorta but since they were lighting wise rather dark, it was hard to tell. Considering that they retooled the eps to extend them to 45 (give or take a couple minutes) minutes for the eps.

Agreed, the overall quality is better. I also love the character stuff. I'm oh so very glad this is on tv, because this kind of stuff would never of happened. There's just SOOOOO many questions I have though. EM field? Duuuuuuuuude. Oh, and I agree with Alexei's thing too.
Question for those who saw the sneak peek - is it a continuous piece (like the first 30 mins) or is it various segments?
