but seems to be just as vulnerable as the others to the draw of the coins. I wonder...did Nick feel the craving too? or was he just aware enough of it to lock it away?

      Spoiler:
They said that Grimms are stronger so they are not so easily affected. I think the Captain is some Grimm royalty so he is involved with all parties and wessen and Grimm reapers respect him.

Three Coins in a Fuchsbau is my favourite episode to date. It was so fascinating to see.....

            Spoiler:
....the effect the coins had on everyone, the negative sides of their egos coming out. All seeing different ways of dealing with the evil and injustice they perceive around them. The image of Hitler on that movie Nick watched said it all really about that personification of evil, LOL!

I loved how Captain Renard dreamed of how he would save the world from the criminals and appeared as a dictatorial 'saviour' on the balcony to his multitude of followers below in a Nazi style political rally. The next day he turns up in his uniform and looks worryingly like a 'dictator' in it, and rants on about how he will save everyone from the evil criminals. It's these clever little moments I love in this show.

This show just gets better and better!

I'm going to have to catch this one off on demand since my local station has decided that basketball is more important than anything else

they're either skipping it or they're going to air it at 4am or something. And I don't have a second NBC affiliate in the area so I'm stuck.
On the upside NBC does have an iPad app that I can stream the episode on, or my cable's on demand.

                              Thanks for the tip people.
It's a terriic show... really enjoying it. Much more intriguing than Once Upon a Time. Went through nine episodes in two days. Love the whole police procedural cum fantasy elements. Looking at Nick is like looking at Chris Reeve or Brandon Routh's younger brother.
Reminds me of the early days of Fringe.

"Plumed Serpent" I put it in spoilers in case :
                                Spoiler:
this was a great epeisode. I loved the copper covered house, and the concept that the daemonfeur (sp) had to vomit to produce the fire
They never said exactly what caused the fire that killed the Mother did they?
I wonder if his guilt had something to do with his being responsible for the fire.
And finally Nick's fiance gets to meet the werewolf friend
no means no, and so does pepper spray
