Also the first trailers for season 2 of GOT will probably be aired with Boardwalk Empire, yet another reason to watch the show.

The ghost outfits those guys are wearing are not very convincing. Pointy headed ghosts? Pfft.

Pointy headed ghosts with vintage machine guns, instantly coolifying them by 150%. Racists, but with style. Though I wouldn’t bet on the Klan, I see the trailer shows that Chalky White has upgunned, and got himself a big rifle, presumably to deal with any “ghosts.” And if that fails him, he always has these badboys to fall back on.

More good news, Winter is Coming is now reporting that there are now casting calls for thousands of extras for season 2

The fact that they seem to be casting thousands seems to suggest they are really going for some big scenes this season, here's hoping anyway.

Casting news. Stuff in now been announced or leaked as we speak.

Kerr Logan appears to be playing Matthos Seaworth, a son of Davos Seaworth according to WIC

Gemma Whelan has apparently been cast as Asha Greyjoy, though they might have renamed her to Yara, possibly to avoid confusion with characters with similar sounding names like Osha.

I like her as Brienne. I'm sure they'll "ugly" her up a bit, but I love her as is. She's got the look, and I bet she'll be awesome.

Bring on Davos next, and Dolorious Edd. My mental image of the former has always been a bit Robert Carlyle-y, so it'll be awesome to see who they get.

One site where they talk about dream casting for GoT (don't recall what site it was) said they'd always wanted RC for Davos. I guess with the (scarily crappy looking) Once Upon a Time in production it's not that likely... but I will keep my fingers crossed until Davos is announced.

Personally I agree that she's a great choice for the role. Interesting thing is the fans are partly responsible for getting her the role. There was discussion about who could play Brienne way back in early 2010 on places like Winter is Coming. Her name was suggested, and then based off that discussion someone alerted her agent, who got her to go for the role.

I'm not familiar with her work, so I'm wondering if her voice will be "mannish" enough to compare to the mental image I got from the book. But she's definitely got the potential for the looks if the images I've pulled up on Google do her any justice.
