I have this on my Sky planner...waiting.

Here in the UK it's showing only one day after the US on Monday nights. I'm looking forward to it.

The interest in Game of Thrones has caused HBO and other production companies to consider more fantasy series. They're already talking about an adaption of Neil Gaimen's American God's.

Also a 13 episode tv series based on Terry Prachett's Ankh Morpork Watch novels is now in development.

Hopefully the success of Game of Thrones will spur on a new wave of mature fantasy and scifi tv.

And for viewers in the UK, don't forget there's an interview on Monday with George RR MArtin at 8.30pm on Sky Atlantic, right before the series premiere.

HBO now have a cool interactive map of Westeros on their site, check it out.

That is good news. We need more fantasy on TV.

I can't wait for tomorrow night. It seems like forever since it was announced HBO green lighted the show. I don't remember much though, and I think that is a good thing. I have high hopes since it is HBO, I would hate to be let down like I was with Legend of the Seeker.

Ugh... just don't read that NY Times review while you're waiting for the time to pass... apparently, girls who like fantasy don't exist.

Very condesending review that didn't even discuss any characters and scenes in any detail...

Here are two responses to the NY Times review

Just over a day for us in the UK. I'm staying off the forums tomorrow, I don't want to be spoiled or teased out of my mind.

                      Soon though, soon.

Then the agonizing wait for the next episode will begin.

There are more reviews coming out that have been positive, so hopefully the score will go higher.

I hope that means more mature sci-fi and fantasy on tv. There's not enough sci-fi and fantasty on tv, well, of the kind I prefer anyway.

LOL, really girls don't like fantasy? I've heard that girls don't like sci-fi(which is also bs); but never that they don't like fantasy. Most of the people I know that read fantasy are female, so I don't know what that generalization is about. I guess I shouldn't exsist either.

Anyway, I can't wait til tonight. It starts in less than 3 hrs. I'm so excited. I'm even planning on being a horrible mother tonight and extending the time limit on my son's xbox, so that he'll be too busy playing video games to want to watch tv with me lol. He's got vacation so there's little chance I can get him to go to bed before 9 and I don't think I can wait to watch.
