David Tennant was wonderful... I thought Chris Eccelstone was going to be a hard act to follow but DT brought a wonderfully multidimensional quality to the Doctor. I really enjoyed the energy and enthusiasm he brought to this incarnation but also the fact that there's an edge to that jocular facade.
Spoiler:Very amused that the panacea to the Doctor's ills was a cup of tea... Just a lovely reminder that this is still a British show.
Pertaining to Harriet Jones' decision... I'm with the Doctor... but I understand why she did what she did... and I think it is important that the show contain that bit of edginess. Interesting parallel with the Silurians methinks...sigpic

I like my sci-fi to have no correct answers. I think that what Harriet Jones did, she did for the best reasons and I can empathise totally. But I also understand the Doctor's reaction. No black & white in real life, always shades of grey.In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king

Not bad, though I thought the aliens were a bit corny, even more so than the goa'uld of dear Stargate.
Loved the Arthur Dent referance, considering Douglas adams once did soem writing for the show. You go ahead, I'll be right behind you (In an F-302)
And now for a completely unconnected series of random smilies:

lol Doctor Who is all about being corny, thats why the more serious 7t Doctor was less liked among long time who fans, and why the new series is liked so much, 'cus they went back to the old way of doing thingsEquality is not a concept. It's not something we should be striving for. It's a necessity. Equality is like gravity. We need it to stand on this earth as men and women. And the misogyny that is in every culture is not a true part of the human condition. It is life out of balance, and that imbalance is sucking something out of the soul of every man and woman who is confronted with it.

Will any of the new eps star on other planets like some of the originals? or are they all Earth based again? I know off topic.
Anyway - Tennants Dr was actually really different but the same, I dunno - I like him, plus ohh, big space gunBlitz
