ok before i start i should say i never seen any of the doctor who shows. so i desided to watch it when they were showing it on scifi. just to see why every one liked it so much. so they were showing 2 eps back to back after the first one. i thought the show was petty dumb i found some things funny about it but i dident like. sents i had nothing better to do i watched the 2 ep and i really liked that ep. so i went from not likeing the show to loveing it petty fast. im just gald they showed 2 eps cuz i probly never would have keeped watching the show if all i saw was the first ep.

The first ep really is a bit of a hit or miss...

I mean... Autons. They're a Who classic... prolly why I love it. But I can see how they might come across as rubbish...

It came off as too campy in some parts.

Especially the scenes between Auton-Mickey, Rose, and the Doctor.

          That was great.

Well, the plastic zombies were a bit silly, and Rose's boyfriend was irritating... but other then that it was good.

I can't wait for the next episode.

I also loved the new TARDIS.

Reasoning: The doors. From outside, you can now see in. In the old series they opened the doors and you could see black. Then inside the control room there were two MASSIVE white doors, and again, black on the other side.

Now it's much better. And the control room is more interesting. It was just too bland before.

What a great episode to open the new series

It got me hooked. I was really surprised of how well it's written for all audiences and modernized to meet today's standards - it doesn't seem as much of a science fiction show anymore like the old series, it's transformed into an amusing contineous collection of pure brilliance that should keep the audience that used to watch the old 'Dr Who' and the modern audience that watches this newer version hooked for many, many years to come.

Well Rose re-screened in Australia on Friday. (ABC2)

It was interesting to see Chris in the role having gotten so use to seeing David. I can say Chris was very good, but I could also pick up on the fact, maybe more now, that he was still trying to figure out exactly how to play the character. The moments in Rose/Jackie's flat kind of said it all, that mix of humour and seriousness, it felt a little off, like he was trying too hard.

Other then that I really enjoyed re-watching the episode. Seeing Rose again, even Micky and Jackie didn't annoy me this time around. I think they must have grown on me.

Yes it was campy but it was also great fun and that is what I have always loved about Doctor Who, camp scary fun. There really is no other show like it.

                      Awesome episode!

Never watched Doctor Who before, but i really like it. I heard a lot of stories about his TARDIS and the companions.

I thought: Why shell I watch this series? I don't know the previous 26 ones but that doesn't matter. You can easy get in 'coz the doctor and of course the progress explains everything.

So the first episode "ROSE": 5/5 stars.

I like the invasion of the plastic-being(s). I don't know how it's named 'coz I watched it in german.

I'm really looking forward to the next episode. I'm going to be a Doctor-Who fan. but I suck at reviews.

I didn't like Rose in the beginning, but she really has grown on me.

Thanks to a friend (he knows who he is ) I finally watched my first Dr. Who episode. I told him thusly:

"It was weird to see Christopher Eccleston playing something than an ubervillain. I think this is actually the first role I've seen him laugh, tell a joke, or even smile. I tell you it's downright bizarre to see him not scowling or threatening to kill someone.

They should have titled this episode 'Plastic Apocalypse.' Wait a minute, you know maybe that should be the name for a band? I call dibs on that name and no you can't snurch it. "

rewatched this the other day.......My favorite moment moment still is right after the doctor escorts rose out of the building at the start.

"I'm the Doctor by the way, what's your name?"
                                "Rose"
"Nice to meet you Rose. Run for your life!"
Please do me a huge favour and help me be with the love of my life.
