Sharon...what IS her connection with Boomer? Anyone ever explained it?

Has anyone in fandom ever figured out what the connection is between Sharon and the original Boomer? Or have "the big guys" ever explained it during a podcast?

Sharon showed (thru things she said to both Helo and Starbuck) that she has most or ALL of Boomer's memories up to a certain point. (And that's beyond the "backstory" fake memories...she knew stuff from Boomer's life on Galactica.)

We know Sharon is the same model, that's obvious, but she had the same memories. Supposedly that only happens at the time of death and downloading...the activating of a new body, but with the same consciousness...

...but Sharon existed on Caprica while Boomer was still on Galactica.

Does this mean that when a Cylon "dies" and downloads (or even before that) it's possible to make more than one new Cylon with that person's consciousness? A total duplicate, not just in appearance?

Has that ever been addressed in ANY venue?

Sharon & Boomer seem to share the same memories even if it's only up to a certain point. which suggests that at some point the original one (who was both sharon & boomer) made a "backup" of herself into another 8 just before leaving Caprica but then again this doesn't explain why one was a sleeper and not the other, unless Sharon (who knew she was a cylon) made a backup of herself and also programmed her duplicate to be a sleeper agent before releasing her to accompany the civvies who left Caprica - this would mean that of the two, the one whose memories are fake is Boomer (and Sharon is the original)

well either that or I'm wrong
