Another great alien was the insectoid N'Grath. Sadly we didn't see much of him after season 1.
In season 1, I was SO hoping the Vorlons turned out to be those insectoids in disguise, preparing for their invasion. Of course, I was 15 at the time...

The methane-breathing, arms-dealing insect was a treat that season. Alas, went bye-bye.

JMS said that Kosh wasn't the one of the oldest Vorlon, but old enough to know what was going on and challenge it as best he could. In my head, he's definitely at least a million years old, if only because that million year mark is such a nice and round one for a potentially immortal energy being.

JMS weighed in on Kosh's age in comparison to Ulkesh's:
"They're not that far apart in age, but yes, Kosh would be a bit older. "

And more detailed info from JMS:
He was certainly well regarded...one of the older of the vorlons.

I'll put it to you this way...Kosh was old enough to have had a first hand familiarity with Valen. Vorlons live a REAL long time.

Valen led the prior shadow war and formed the grey council roughly 1000 years before B5's current time.

And for what JMS wanted us to know about the Vorlons, pardon the pun, in the beginning...

Sigh. No true B5 fan should be without access to the Lurker's Guide.
