Yes, I know, that's all gone out the window these days, but maybe that's what needs to be addressed, rather than trying to "fix" a health care system that was once the best in the world.
The US has NEVER had the best healthcare system in the world, in fact, their are 3rd world nations with better health care systems. What the US -does- have is some of the best healthcare -providers- in the world, but if you think that everyone has equal access to those providers to create an actual "system", you are delusional.
