This piece is a failure of understanding. Its ''facts'' are the results of a SurveyMonkey, which I used in college to ask my classmates if they'd love to go to a bar or a club.

Nothing else but factual economic data can confirm that statement since refunds are related to withholding in the most part. I could easily have paid more in taxes yet still get a refund due to my withholding every pay week.

MY own federal tax bill went down. That is a tax decrease; so did that of the other local acquaintances that I talked to.
These are real, tangible tax CUTS. How can you argue that they are not? And where are you getting this $2 coupon? Some imaginary tax cut someone is promising?

I'm not religious either, but I'm devastated to see this part of culture buring and sincerely hoping that the great organ will be safe. The framework that is buring, « la forêt », was unique in its wood diversity, beams coming from many different trees...
Fortunately, some of the statues had been removed last week for restoration. I'm so sad to see this. I hope firefighters stay safe as well.
