you boil the nuts before adding the water to the stew, like the water they boil peanbuts I was thinking about adding some chestnuts to the stew maybe, shelled and skinned before adding them to the stew, or maybe cashews, LOVE cashews.

eh, yes and no, most of the time I hate nuts in my food, with few exceptions cashews and chest nuts, other than that, keep your nuts separate, eat them on their own, that way you get the full flavor of the nut, and you keep the texture of the food separate, that way you enjoy them both with out the chance of either ruining the other, especially if you have come across a pecan. pronounced the correct way it sounds like pea-KAHHHHHHN, that hasn't ben cleaned very well, god help you if you do, that is one thing you will never EVER forget.
