My mom used to put bacon in the waffle iron, it cooked mostly, but usually the waffle would be a little too cooked to get the bacon right.

it's usually a good idea to pre-cook it a bit before adding it to the batter....

Mom's thing, I have not tried cooking it like that. Didn't really like it when I was a kid, the bacon usually wasn't done enough for me. Now I make mine separately, I like my bacon crispy, on the side. But my dad really liked the bacon waffle thing.

Had my annual physical today, and my cholesterol is perfect and I've even lost 10 pounds! Well it was 9.76 lbs. so must have been the bacon screwing me up there!
