Oh, come on. Star Wars is as much Sci-Fantasy as it is Sci Fi.
Because of the Force? Need I remind you of New BSG's head characters and Godlike behind the scenes thing responsible for said head characters? And the Q might as well be fantasy too...and Babylon 5 (evolution don't work dat way).
Edit: I forgot about SG-1...sorry...there;s nothing feasible about ascension. They try to do this whole "brain at higher than 10%" thing which is utter nonsense and much like Babylon 5, evolution don't work dat way.
