Because Wikipedia isn't a source in and of itself. It is more of collection of information pooled from various sources. Articles that don't use sources should not be given the same weight. Articles that use sources should have the actual source referenced, not the wikipedia article.

Yule you say? Interesting. I'll actually be taking a look into this stuff during the winter before the next semester. Right now I am about 13 days from finals week.
