I can understand that. My 3 cats are about half way through their expected lifespan of 15 years. I dread the day when they start to pass on due to age.

yeah Just enjoy them. If they are only half way through....you should have plenty of time yet.

We got a new dog the next week after the last one died.

yeah well we did get a new puppy about 6 months ago, but that still doesn't ease the blow. The puppy is a bit of a pain....she's a real handful.
