Jelgate was asking if I see the irony over in the serious thread. But there is a nice one here.
I'm getting older, and have been seriously considering some soft of device like Life Alert. I do live alone, and a fall down the stairs or some other accident could leave me incapacitated in my own home. I think I will settle on an Apple watch, once they are past their first few beta releases. A telephone on my wrist could be quite useful.

That would be a dealbreaker. Although I have an iPhone, it's too big to carry everywhere. And I'm not thinking about not wanting to reach into my pocket, I'm concerned with not being able to reach into my pocket or get to a phone after a fall or some medical emergency.
