on another note - I went to see my principal this morning to express my concerns over 5 seniors in one of my economics classes who are failing (miserably). In fact, they are the ONLY ones of my economics students, in all my classes, who are failing. I printed out their grades (with my notes about missing and late work) and their attendance to give him the whole picture. He's been successful in the past at calling some of these kids into his office to tell them to straighten up or go to the Excel Academy so that they can graduate, because they sure aren't going to do it here.
