Spoiler:
I don’t want to be human. I want to see gamma rays, I want to hear X-rays, and I want to smell dark matter. Do you see the absurdity of what I am? I can’t even express these things properly, because I have to—I have to conceptualize complex ideas in this stupid, limiting spoken language, but I know I want to reach out with something other than these prehensile paws, and feel the solar wind of a supernova flowing over me. I’m a machine, and I can know much more.
the United States should no longer be involved in the world's military affairs nor the internal socio political affairs of other nations
why is that hard to understand?
but you love what it does for you, and you want it while claiming you don't.
This is funny, you fought for what you want, yet now claim you never wanted it.
LOL!!!

While that is admirable, really it is, we do have interests that if they are not taken cared of would have some heavy consequences. In order to pull out, we'd have to change completely and I don't think people are willing to do that at all. They want the results without the work and sacrifice.
You just want to use it to advance American interests, the EXACT same thing you want to stop in your own country.
I want good bacon Jel, cause I don't ask for it often.
I want America to STOP advancing our so called interests. You and others complain that America is too interfering in other nations' affairs, yet when I say, 'i agree, we need to disengage" then its "oh no, you can't leave!! we have a treaty (in Neville Chamberlain voice)"

i agree with the 'results without work and sacrifice' part.
but, hye, we can stay engaged and deployed world wide, over burdened and troops over workled and over deployed--sure!
in about 10 ir less years though, there will not be enough Americans left who are qualified to serve!!
this is not boast or hyperbole..look it up!
so many now cannot pass the ASVAB test, they have a police record that contains offenses that cannot be wavered, they have medical conditions that are not waiver able to include the massive epidemic of overweight/over fat
so sure, we can keep engaged for the sake of our interests, though I do not know who will be serving to protect them
and, can you please quantify those interests? where is it that we have troops and we are getting anything tangible in return?
our (and some nato) troops protect Afghan mineral and gold mines for Chinese companies--not there
Iran has taken over by proxy, the Iraqi govt-so not there
and stuff like "because America has been there for them since...." doesn't cut it. no more wars or deployments for sentimental value
OK if that is the case can other countries kick the US bases out of their countries?
You don't want to be involved so can we kick your bases out of our countries?
you should already know my answer by what i have stated!
what is it here? no one can accept an american who is not a war hungry, power mad, regime changing, MAGA maniacal, party politics team playing fool?
no one would have to kick anything. if america did as I (and many other americans- especially those who have served in these sh^t shows) wished, we would leave before any kicking need be done
but so many 'host' nations do not want us gone, not entirely. they want us out of sight
-----------------like how Japan wants to shift bases around and how Korea has payed to move nearly all US forces in Korea to one large base instead of the dozens of smaller ones that used to be scattered around, including the largest on prime Seoul real estate
but they dont want us gone. they know many of their citizens either depend directly on employment on us bases or in the off base economy that caters to US military and their families
sure, it is a very small portion of that nation's GDP but still a portion they dont want to have to put on welfare or retrain for other work

so which do you want? the US as world cop or not?
I say not.
I want you to get out, and don't ask for our help to fix the mess you make doing it.
Thing is, you have been making a mess since WW2, and that mess is on you.
You screwed the M-E, you screwed China, and you basically screw anywhere you go.
THAT IS ON YOU.
Fix your errors, and don't claim you are doing anything good for the people you screwed.
Or is that too flipping hard?

Dayton shooter had ANTIFA connections and was a Elizabeth WARREN Supporter
the point?
not what you think, but simply that crazy exists on all sides of the political spectrum.

The Dayton shooter had an extreme left Twitter feed
From CNN’s Paul Murphy and Konstantin Toropin
A Twitter account that appears to belong to Dayton shooter Connor Betts retweeted extreme left-wing and anti-police posts as well as tweets supporting the violent protest group Antifa.
The most recent tweet on the @iamthespookster account was on Aug. 3, the day of the shooting, when he retweeted a post saying, “Millenials have a message for the Joe Biden generation: hurry up and die.” He also retweeted support for Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.
Under the Twitter handle @iamthespookster, the user description says, “He/him / anime fan / metalhead / leftist / I’m going to hell and I’m not coming back.” One tweet used the hashtag #HailSatan.

Pick one and I'll look into it for you. For Afghanistan...look up "9/11".
It's simply a matter of if the US backs down the Ruskies and or the Chinese will assimilate that piece of land in a few years. Dangerous dictatures. You think they care about freedom and human rights? What happened to Tibet again? That's the most pragmatic reason why your idea is bad.
2nd why not shift some of those assets currently involved in those useless wars towards something that actually matters, such as civilian escorts and muscle jobs.
And last what Tood said, it's easy to forget the crimes committed by previous generations but it doesn't mean it's okay to wipe your hands clean.
It's also quite ironic you mention Chamberlain when what you propose is EXACTLY what he did, which is NOTHING.
