Sadly true.
Now they have invented bullets that can seek targets. Why are we humans so good at inventing ways to kill each other?
In 1984 this was in a movie called Runaway but now it's going to happen for real.

We already have target-seeking rockets - so bullets ain't that much of a stretch.
One cannot know peace without knowing war.
Because we like to believe we are creating these things to protect ourselves, while in reality we are simply killing eachother in the name of freedom and world peace.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a good example of this with project Insight.Heightmeyer's Lemming -- still the coolest Lemming of the forum

Does that only work if the target is alone? And how does it know who the target is, do the guys with the gun use their sights to guide it, oh, hold on, no they dont, we need more info
Edit: not much more

Gunviolencearchive.org - an entire website dedicated to gun violence in the US.
Visualizing gun deaths – Comparing the U.S. to rest of the world - homicides only

And now for something completely surprising...
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015...s-report-says/
Seems that the LSoS's* signature health care plan is continuing to fall to pieces.
Almost half of the 17 ObamaCare state insurance exchanges are reportedly suffering financial difficulties, posing a significant challenge to state officials just five years after the passage of President Obama’s signature health care law.
The Washington Post reports that many of the marketplaces set up by the states and the District of Columbia are being hit by high costs and tepid enrollment numbers. In response, officials at state level are mulling raising fees on insurers, sharing costs with nearby states, and are calling for more money to be infused into the system.
Some officials are even considering handing over their exchanges to the federal Healthcare.gov – an exchange that has had widely reported problems of its own

Health care is still relatively young in the US - of course, there will be issues.Heightmeyer's Lemming -- still the coolest Lemming of the forum

Plus those rioters are citizens too, so if the citizens were armed both sides would have guns and we come back to the whole bloodbath thing.sigpic

As far as access to that health care system, prior to the start of our economic downfall in the 70's and eighties, the majority of our citizens had health insurance through their employers. But our government though it would be a good idea to sign treaties that would outsource many of our better paying jobs backwater nations where labor costs were pennies on the dollar in comparison, and now it wants to import low wage workers to take jobs that can't be easily outsourced.
Our health care system was never the problem. It was the best in the world. The problem lies with the economy. But since the government is in large part responsible for that mess, I wouldn't expect them to fix it. Trying to fix that by screwing with the health care system is like trying to fix a hot water heater by working on the dishwasher. It ain't gonna fix it.
Our government has a long and glorious history of screwing up everything it touches. And now it's target is what used to be the best health care system on earth.
