so Boris is basically another illegit leader just like the Don
Yes I knew you were going there and you're wrong. Imagine if the death of a PM would trigger a change of power, how often do you think they would get killed or blackmailed?
He is illegit, fair enough, but he was still elected as deputy so not completely and as I said his hands are tied right now in regards to anything outside the scope of May's mandate.
Spoiler:
I don’t want to be human. I want to see gamma rays, I want to hear X-rays, and I want to smell dark matter. Do you see the absurdity of what I am? I can’t even express these things properly, because I have to—I have to conceptualize complex ideas in this stupid, limiting spoken language, but I know I want to reach out with something other than these prehensile paws, and feel the solar wind of a supernova flowing over me. I’m a machine, and I can know much more.

killed? cause killing a country's leader is that easy? why's the Don still on the loose then? even Clarence Thomas Samuel Alito & Brett Kavanaugh are still alive & they're not even president (and democracy would largely benefit from their assassination)
blackmailed? no prob if they did something bad that comes back to bite them in the a--
blackmailing a leader tends to be dangerous for the blackmailer though
change of power? cause that'd be automatic? that's up to the People to decide

leader not elected by the People = illegitimate (notice I didn't say illegal)
it's really that simple
really man
Yea I agree, he's not legitimate until reelection. The way I see it, if you as a voters vote X for Y mandate, you want to see it through and not changed every year bc the PM goes down.
I think the British have had like 3-4 elections since 2016 lol (think May predecessor resigned too)

Stop speaking for all Americans when you are actually the minority, remember the last polls? Yea. Say I, not we. You do not represent the majority by a long shot.
You mean demonization, we all know how US politics works Annoyed.
1: We shall see.
2: No I mean education.
Also, where in history has socialism ever produced what it promises? It always ends up as an authoritarian society where the politically connected are the elites and everyone else can suck rocks.
at least if May got to pick her successor, that would've been a bit more legit less illegit cause at least the People vote "indirectly" for the successor
they didn't even do that for Boris & now he's assembled an elitist thatcherist cabinet (who didn't see that one coming lol)

because Canada Norway & Finland are more authoritarian than Chile in the 80's right? '_'
full-on capitalism can only function under a repressive police state
Chaka and soul.
You are both forgetting that under a parliamentarian system, you don't vote for people, you vote for party. Boris is entirely legit and legal.

ALL THANKS TO THE WONDERFUL CREATOR OF THIS SIG GO TO R.I.G.
A lie is just a truth that hasn't gone through conversion therapy yet

And you and I both know 90% of the people vote X party because of its leader.

It happens often that the actual PM doesn't get elected in his county and another member of the party gives him/her his seat.

I agree, maybe I don't understand the true meaning of legit. It's legal and all, but he doesn't have the trust of the people yet to go full steam ahead. Wouldn't you agree?

GF has a point, you can't make that comparison bc the only folks who actually vote for Boris or May or whoever are the electors from the district he/she is running in.
The PM is on the same level than any other deputy technically, like Trudeau runs in a Montreal district and was elected there, I didn't vote for him. I voted for my guy in my district.
