But really this 4 congresswomen (term taken from Trump's talking points if you haven't seen yet) is just a joke, it's going to lead nowhere and further play into Trump's hand. One has to emerge victorious, and fast.
Bernie's got adamantium balls to use that label on himself in such a country

as for 'the Squad' they're really starting to piss me off 3 of them at least if they really want Don defeated they'll lie low & avoid making too many headlines about themselves before the 2020 election

More precisely, why is there 4 broken candidates on the Dem's side instead of having one unified Bernie? Right now I'm thinking the odds of the Snake looked better at the previous election, and that's sad.
well, we do have a representative democracy...

which means we can do absolutely nothing

the media is, for better or worse, the driver in this. they are responding to Trumps actions like Pavlovian dogs

yes, the dems are going to frak themselves again.

i am a libertarian and normally vote for their pres candidate. but, if either the gop or dem's had a candidate i thought was more representative of the middle, i would vote for them

the only person i see in the middle or wiling to stand for the middle is Gabbard. this guy primarying trump, Gov Weld, is also a good choice. he ran has the libertarian vp candidate in 2016. he is running now for the GOP nomination

would love to see Gabbard and Weld on the same ticket, but they'd have to stop playing team sports first for that to happen

Never heard of him before but read that article and I think he's got great stances of mostly everything. My only objection would be the minimum salary hike veto, I understand the economics logic behind it but I'm from a different school.

I believe having greater wages on the lower end of the scale is costly on the short-term, but winning in the long-term. Higher minimum wages gives opportunity for those workers to put money aside, so that's more money for banks to invest and run the economy, and also enables them to save enough to eventually get into a better, higher-paying job.

That in turns globally increases the level of your average worker and produces a more competitive, better educated and overall more efficient workforce.
        Spoiler:
I don’t want to be human. I want to see gamma rays, I want to hear X-rays, and I want to smell dark matter. Do you see the absurdity of what I am? I can’t even express these things properly, because I have to—I have to conceptualize complex ideas in this stupid, limiting spoken language, but I know I want to reach out with something other than these prehensile paws, and feel the solar wind of a supernova flowing over me. I’m a machine, and I can know much more.

Yeah, I looked at that site when SyFy's boards closed, but I chose this one instead. I haven't participated there in years.

And from your description, that filter that you can toggle affects what you can read, not what you can post.

Sanders *could* have won in 2016, if the Democrats hadn't screwed up by anointing Hillary to be their choice.
Yes, he used the S word then too, but a large percent of the current electorate didn't understand the term.

Over the past year or so, since the advent of the kindergartner and her ilk, more people have learned just what socialism is, and it's not going to fly in this nation, no matter how much the children want free stuff.

Biden is their best (only) shot at beating Trump next year, but I don't think he's going to survive the onslaught of the socialist wing, who are acting like children. They're holding their breath till their parents give them the new toy they want, but they haven't thought it through. If they turn blue and lose consciousness, they lose by default.

Translation: they're gonna keep whining till they get what they want, even if it destroys their party's chances. They're that stupid.

How long have I been saying that the Democrats had better find a way to shut the kindergartner and her ilk up?

I'm assuming the goal is to show unity in the party, but they'll rally behind one candidate, most likely our Queen AOC or Uncle Joe. Hopefully sooner than later.

They dont have a chance behind AOC for the same reason Bernie lost

Bernie lost because there's only two parties.

You need a better class of Queen.

Actually, I do hope she or one of the other socialists gets the nomination. Will all but guarantee Trump 4 more years.

ah, this gives me a segue into a whole other area concerning workers, pay, and revenue for govt's

what is you stance on the growing "threat" of mechanization- run by AI, in replacing workers and eventually, even white collar jobs?

it sounds nice, but how will people unemployed live? Going back for higher job trng is not the answer as companies (once they see this AI run method work/save money) will increasingly turn to this method and replace jobs all the way up the skill ladder

Predictive algorithms, responsive to the "experiences" of current AI run mech reported to the algorithm will initiate code and software changes to continual increase the AI's effectiveness and ability to do more and more complex tasks

no pay for the majority of people, no salary withholding taxes for govt's. so who will pay to fix the roads, keep the schools opened (or what will be the point of education as there will be no jobs for kids to work at?), pay for medicare and medicaid.

Just as local govt's may show great reluctance with the loss of revenue from fees and fines from driverless cars coming into the majority, will local govt's also resist this change? I am guessing that govt will not allow the wholesale exchange of the human and taxable workforce for AI run mechanization

( there is a book I am currently reading that goes into this in detail. HOME DEUS by Harari https://www.ynharari.com/book/homo-deus/ )

yes, exactly what i mean, so a snowflake user can turn on their own "trigger inhibitor" and not see those big bad words someone posts.

this way everyone doesn't get censored for the benefit of a few lightweights

even the dumbest (especially the dumbest) associated socialism with something they hated even more - communism - and they hated it without even knowing what it was (TY Maccarthy & other proto-neo-nazis)

more people have learned just what socialism is,
Government's bigger than ever now (at least in ****holes like Alabama Georgia & Louisiana) so it's not like it can get worse

and it's not going to fly in this nation, no matter how much the children want free stuff.

the fact he'll have the election rigged makes this all moot anyway
