to the detriment of all, Trump will win in 2020

the disorganized whining of the left and the (so far) inability or reluctance of the right to back the challenger (yes, there is an announced GOP candidate for 2020, Trump will be primaried-- Bill Weld is only one to announce so far) is only invigorating the boy howdy Trumpsters. aka "the base"

me? i continue to sit firmly in the middle. i will support the libertarian candidate UNLESS Tulsi Gabbard is the DEM challenger.

      Popcorn is already on order

Yep. The Democrats are going to screw up again. Combine that with an economy that is going stronger than it has in decades, and they don't have a chance.

Wonder who they will blame this time? Hillary still hasn't accepted that she was to blame for their losing what should have been a very winnable election in 2016.

If the Democrats want to win, they need to move much farther to the right, and abandon these socialist, pro-illegal immigrant positions they're embracing.

They are being rather idiotic on all fronts. What are they going to do if the eviscerate the primary winner? They'll have to deal with the damage they do to each other. You don't go ad hoc in your primaries unless you're Trump and there is no Trump equivalent in the game for the democrats (They had their chance with Bernie).

4 years ago, the Dems had a chance with Sanders. But in the time since, there has been extreme push to the far left, in fact some advertise themselves as socialists. People the Kindergartner, Warren and the other extreme lefties have "woken" significant numbers of people to what they really stand for. And mainstream US isn't gonna buy that.

Biden was their best chance to beat Trump, but I don't think he's gonna make it past the primaries. They're gonna eat him alive.
The children on the extreme left such a the kindergartner don't have the brains to realize they have to move slow to get where they want to go. As I've said from her entry onto the scene, she wants what she wants, and she's gonna stomp her feet and hold her breath to get what she/they want, regardless of whether she passes out and lets the Republicans win.

The problem with the AOC type democrats is that they are twitter politicians. For now, they are more damaging to the DNC. But the GOP currently has the Radio Show politicians in power. It only took what? Ten or twenty years for them to boot out the Reagan conservatives?

Yes, the DNC's newest crop of social democrats will eventually do the same exact thing. Their weapon will be and is social media and outrage culture...it's basically the same thing that Trump types have done. So if I were you, I'd be praying for the Pelosi types to win. And if anyone's wondering, I do favor Biden. No one yet in the GOP camp...but when was the last time a president got primaried successfully?

AOC? How many politicians actually visited the camps and I've seen her many times go to lower-class areas to do speeches and engage the masses.

Pray tell me which politician does more field work?
                Spoiler:
I don’t want to be human. I want to see gamma rays, I want to hear X-rays, and I want to smell dark matter. Do you see the absurdity of what I am? I can’t even express these things properly, because I have to—I have to conceptualize complex ideas in this stupid, limiting spoken language, but I know I want to reach out with something other than these prehensile paws, and feel the solar wind of a supernova flowing over me. I’m a machine, and I can know much more.

I think GABBARD would be a good choice, the least worst democrat

seriously though, she sounds like a 'classical republican' before neo cons and the ilk

and she seems to have no love for either Pelosi or AOC...thats a plus

i think we should go back to the old way of doing the pres/vice pres thing

that is the winner is pres, runner up is vice president

and then give the vice pres like one more thing important to do other then senate president. a better way to ring some balance

Funny how Congress has to put a leash on Trump so he doesn't nuke Iran by accident. Good initiative, from both Reps + Dems. See, cooperation is possible in the face of a common ennemy.

That's all good and such, but she does participate in outrage culture instead of pushing back against it. I don't like it. And Annoyed et al should wake up because what GF has been saying is starting to happen and will reach full fruition down the road. Not this election, maybe 2024 but definitely before 2030. Democrats will act just as republicans are acting now and republicans will only have themselves to blame.

Over time, the see-saw goes both ways. But it's getting out of hand. It's like Newton's Balls, but the arc of the swing is growing larger as time goes on. Where is the extra energy coming from?

But it can be fun to watch.

                            https://www.sltrib.com/opinion/comme...fer-rubin-how/

There is a moment when the boss or the parent or chaperones realize, “We’re in charge! The inmates/employees/children don’t get to make the rules around here.” And, by the way, “Clean up your language — show some respect!”

That’s not exactly what happened in the Democratic House caucus on Thursday, but it was close. The good news for Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., the Democratic Party and the country at large was that Pelosi didn’t have to be the bad guy. Her members, mostly moderates, and her nonwhite members did what they should have done a few months ago: Tell Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and her three “squad” members — Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., and Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., — to knock it off.
Where have I heard her called a kindergartner before?

And quite seriously, haven't I been saying that they need to shut her up unless they want to wait till 2024?

Notice how it's the main thing Annoyed complains about now?
"the kindergartner this, the kindergartner that" It's like he has a dose of CDS to go with his HDS.
AOC and her group are the left's answer to the Freedom caucus, and that didn't work out to well for repubs in the long run either.

In that sense yes I agree, I thought you meant Twitter politician aka someone that just tweets instead of campaigning

Semantics. I won't get into technicalities but it is absolutely possible. You underestimate the capacities and potential of a macroeconomy, even more so for the US.

Linking back to Tood's response, what I say is this: it is required to win an American election, plain and simple and she gets it.

Charisma and a form of propaganda I guess is required to convince the masses. After that comes the actual agenda that was meant to be all along.
