Can I just say that Andrew Garfield not getting an Oscar nomination for that is a crime? Because it is. He deserved it. Oh, my god. I loved Eduardo (and wanted to hug him on more than one occasion) and Andrew's performance was just flawless and heartbreaking. I still can't watch the "Lawyer up, [snip]hole" scene without crying. And Justin Timberlake did an excellent job in this movie. It'll be interesting to see him in other things. Jesse Eisenberg's nomination for this movie was well deserved. After seeing him in Zombieland and Adventureland (the latter of which was shot at Kennywood, which I will never not find awesome), his performance as Mark really does stand out quite a bit more. And the soundtrack is just amazing. Trent Reznor did a fantastic job.

So my Valentine's Day was kind of weird movie-wise. I watched Being Human with my closest friend, which was great. She likes the show a lot, just like I do.
Afterwards though, I met up with someone who really likes the Twilight movies. She's confused as to why I like the whole werewolf thing but absolutely refuse to watch anything related to Twilight.
I truthfully told her I'm just not into vampires and I don't want anything to do with the Twilight phenomenon. She rebuked me for disliking something I haven't even watched. So against my better judgement, I ended up watching the first two movies. "There's werewolves in the second movie," she reassured me.
Oh goodness that was not a good idea. The werewolves were actually interesting in the second movie but apart from that, I could not believe the slow pacing of the movies. Virtually nothing happened, which left me wondering what in the name of sanity do people see in these movies?
Needless to say, this other woman isn't happy that I greatly dislike Twilight.
