NASA Tests New rocket for Moon, and future Mars missions.

    http://english.chosun.com/site/data/...102900465.html
NASA testing new rocket. They had a successful launch.

But on the evening news they said this is the world's tallest
rocket....... Wasn't the world's tallest rocket the Saturn V that took
the Apollo missions to the Moon or has someone made a mistake at the news desk?

And another good idea. What about private industry funding space? Rockets with coporate logos all over them. Like in Species 2 the rocket that was in Earth Orbit had all sorts of sponsors names on all the fuel tanks and such.

    Any thoughts?
    Go home aliens, go home!!!!

Only if it looks like the Enterprise hehe.....

But yeah would be very cool if they did that.

I am wondering why the name only went to the Test shuttle.

They are dumb, what are they thinking about blowing up thee moon just to see if there is ice on there. And they failed.

                  so >??

back on top once nasa gets the new shuttles up and running we won't have to worry about raming things into the moon when we can walk on it again

                    lol

Dont you know that once the shuttles are out of service, we are going back to the missile type thingy like back in the 60's cause shuttles cant even leave our orbit.

Good point. So really we're regressing, rather then advancing. Neat

That is sad if that happens.

They were attempting to release ice particles that may have been locked up in sediments below the surface, where sublimation would not have been possible. Within present budgetary and technological constraints, this was the best option.

I would not call the Orion a technological regression

                            In a way yes.

Yup, I know that, but they could have sent up a drilling team and try and do that that way.

^ ^ The only problem with that is that there is not one single spacecraft we have that could get the drilling team to the Moon....

To top this off NASA lost all the blueprints of the original Moon rockets... How clever was that?
