Girlbot sits and thinks of the many strange sentients that Reaver has contacted thruout the myriad of attempts he has made to capture GV and TLW.
Unfortunately for Reaver , he has forgotten that GB once before traveld the Silfen paths. ERGO...................It is not her fault that Reaver refused to inform himself as to what they are. Especially since GB has many times had to use her google friend to figure out who exactly Reaver has used (since he always seems to need alot of help ).
Girlbot leisurely exits the path at an unknown location and takes TLW for some ice cream

alrite...SoulReaver, thanks to his superior understanding of things, as well as Google ( ), has figured out what the hell this was all about. a fascinating thing, those silfen paths. a technology beyond anything he has seen before in this inferior universe. and the beings that built that network must surely be worthy of his attention, if anything because their superior minds would make for tastier souls & thus better satiate SoulReaver's eternal hunger. but right now he has another kind of hunger to satisfy (the hunger for revenge I mean. hum hum)

you have escaped & taken TLW from me for the last time!
so Girlbot's scent leads him to the silfen paths. this new technology is unknown to him & it seems to disperse her scent too. such a vast labyrinth...almost as complex as the meanders of a woman's mind. so easy to get lost. where could she be...where could she be...when all of a sudden! another ingenious idea germinates
if he cannot track down Girlbot in this maze, why not make her come to him?
this silfen tech is impressive, but it is still just tech, and no match for his mystically superior intellect which allows him to, uh, penetrate any mortal technology. so he approaches a random path in the silfen network and creates a new junction point. a new silfen-like path, in essence. this path leads from the network...directly to SoulReaver's ship. to any passerby it would look just like another silfen path, but this one has an extra feature: at the junction is a gate with a vortex generator specially tuned to Girlbot's unique pheromonal scent. this gate will activate in her proximity and inexorably draw her into the new path, like a black hole. the vortex gate is concealed within a cloaking field which is fine-tuned to perfectly mimic the various quantum signatures of the silfen network, thus making it undetectable to all travellers within the network. now all SoulReaver has to do is wait, for truly he's a patient one. it could be a long wait, for the network is vast, but he has plenty of time, and no amount of time is long enough when it comes to his precious Girlbot. she likes to travel a lot so simple statistical considerations imply that it's only a matter of time... until one day, *poof* Girlbot suddenly appear on his ship! didn't expect that, did you babe?
of course she was holding TLW, so now everything ends the way it's supposed to, with TLW once again his, and Girlbot back in her cell. she travelled the "Silfen paths", but - luckily for her - SoulReaver was there to guide her back down the right path

Message:

The HEA (Happily Ever After) Society charges Reaver with misconstruing the definition of "happy endings" and twisting the concept for his own needs. Therefore, he is fined for his indiscretion and must forfeit his most prized possessions. In this case Girlbot and TLW. Who are to be released in the custody of the HEA.
That is all, have a nice day.

the minions had been ordered not to disturb Reaver, so...........................they comply with the message, since they have a healthy fear of Reaver and of the HEA.
they release Girlbot and TLW.
Girlbot thanks the HEA and beams out to her ship with TLW and hyperdrives away .

how typical of a woman to try & get away on a technicality

fortunately Girlbot's treachery shall not avail her this time. for you see, there are 2 problems with her argument
- SoulReaver did not use the copyrighted "Happily Ever After" formula, he merely stated that this was a happy ending
- the HEA society is just that, a society, therefore a private non-governmental entity & thus has no true legislative & judicial power

to begin with, SoulReaver summarily "dismisses" the stupid minions involved in this incident. a pity, they had such a bright future ahead of them, could've even been promoted to the rank of reavers had they served him well
let this serve as an example to the remaining minions: they are answerable not to any society, not to any government, but to their master alone. all important decisions much go through him

next, SoulReaver presents the matter to this universe's Intergalactic Government (well yeah Girlbot has done that before, and SoulReaver may do likewise, after all he may originally be a demon but he is more than willing to "submit" to local law when it suits him - and when it makes things simpler, which is does here, as you shall see). it becomes clear that the HEAS has overstepped its bounds & attempted to take law into its own hands. the organization is immediately dissolved and its heads slapped with a hefty fine (that is not enough for SoulReaver - if only they knew what he has in store for these impertinent souls, their legal wrangles would be the least of their worries)
SoulReaver of course is entitled to reparation. he only asks for Girlbot and TLW, and both are delivered to him shortly thereafter, upon which Girlbot is promptly returned to her cell

Reaver isn't the only one who will have others do the job for them.
Girlbot , supposedly secure in the Reaver's cell, needs a few things to keep her happy. so she asks the Minions for just a few select items. she makes a list and gives it to the minion.
Since the minions are supposed to make sure that Girlbot is happy. Girlbot made sure that the minion understood what she needed, cause you never know how stupid Reaver's minions are. He does have a tendency to get them from the bottom of the barrel.
The minion returns with the items on the list, and reluctantly opens the door to the cell, after Girlbot promises not to trick him a escape while he has the door is open.
GB takes the items, thanks the minion and gives him her brightest smile. The minion closes the door as he watches her take out a tube of lipstick and apply it to her smiling lips.
When the door is closed and GB hears the locks engage. She takes out the other items, makes a quick combination of the items. Shakes the little bottle of ingredients and sets it down by the door. In an instant , the Greek fire ignites and blows the door off it's hinges. Alarms go off, and GB exits the room with TLW in tow, and beams out to her awaiting ship, as the minions run screaming.

SoulReaver has had it with his stupid minions' incompetence. especially the last one who forgot to activate the forcefield thus allowing Girlbot to blow up the door, he is immediately dismissed to one of the spectral world's torture chambers for "processing"

but what Girlbot doesn't know however is that long-range sensors had already picked up Girlbot's ship lurking in the distance and during her captivity SoulReaver had surreptitiously planted a homing beacon on it. so all SoulReaver has to do now is track down her ship after she escapes, easy peasy japaneasy. Girlbot only got to enjoy her escapade for a few minutes before she sees SoulReaver's ship exit subspace right before her, she knows even her advanced weaponry is now useless against SoulReaver's superior tech, so the result you all know: TLW is once again his, and Girlbot is returned to her cell (and forcefield is up of course )

he also remembers Girlbot's comment about how a mix of both dumb & smart minions would be a better idea so this is exactly what he proceeds to implement. henceforth minions shall work in pairs, especially the ones guarding her cell, with a regular minion being closely watched & honed by a superior-rank & much smarter minion (carefully picked by SoulReaver himself as part of his praetorian elite, they are the most loyal of his servants and the most powerful, and with a bit of luck will even be promoted to lower-rank soul reavers, if they continue to serve him well)

It seems Reaver has change tactics where his minions are concerned.
Girlbot tricks the regular minion into going for some cotton candy, which of course he has to travel to the Cotton Candy nebula to get. (stupid minion). While she distracts the Superior rank much smarte (haha) minion with a conversation about the physics of the universe. Intriguing the praetorian elite with a calculus problem that he has never encountered.
Of cours Girlbot's superior intelligence creates a problem for him, since it proves that Reaver is incapable of promoting him to a lower rank reaver. (GB's metaphysics are so far advanced from Reavers.) Even though Reaver may find a way around GB's scheme, he can never again use any superior minions against her, since she has destroyed their faith in his truthfulness, and lost their loyalty. Reaver also can't control the minions attraction to the bit of flirting and the phermones Girlbot is able to use against them.
The Super minion deactivates the force shield. Girlbot grabs TLW and beams out.
She expunges all homing beacons from her ship and beams to Home Planet, a location of which Reaver has no knowledge .

stupid him, following Girlbot's advice. oh well. live & learn, they say

so much the the minions' hopes for a promotion. instead they're headed to the spectral realm for a far less pleasant fate. weak-minded fools, succumbing to the charms of a mortal maiden
they may still serve SoulReaver later on if he so decides, for unlike what Girlbot suggested, he always knows how to secure their loyalty as he uses the one & only time-tested method - threat intimidation & force
but enough about them, back to business

so Girlbot is on back on Homeplanet...and she mentioned pheromones...now that's an interesting combo. see, it appears she once again forgot how infallible SoulReaver's preternatural predator senses are. and how he is so finely attuned to his Girlbot's delicate & unique essence. as long as Girlbot is active her pheromones will always allow him to track her down like an enraged bloodhound, which is precisely what he does as he exist hyperspace...right above Homeplanet. its dwellers know their weaponry will be useless against his ship and they also know their planetary shield cannot hold long against his attacks, so they listen, terrified, as he grants them the incommensurate honour of addressing them directly:
"miserable denizens of this primitive world, harken to SoulReaver's words! I could snuff you all out with but a gesture and feast on your mortal souls - but I am willing to grant you mercy. there are 2 things hiding amongst you which are rightfully mine. surrender my lady and TLW, and you have my word you will be spared! SoulReaver has spoken!"
understandably it is not long before Girlbot & TLW are back where they belong, with the latter in his quarters and Girlbot back in her cell

now her metaphysics may be superior to the ordinary reaver perhaps but still below the Reaver supreme. so while he could simply make his elite minions even smarter, he does not take well to potential competition nor can he take the risk of these feeble-minded dimwits once more falling for Girlbot's devilish allure. instead, he opts for a more obvious solution: henceforth his minions will be replaced with androids inherently impervious to her charms and whose loyalty to SoulReaver will be infallible

he also keeps his word on sparing Girlbot's people and prepares to leave, but not before altering the planet's core density thereby quadrupling its surface gravity. looks like the HP folks will have to crawl about from now on, for SoulReaver is merciful but he also is a prankster at times

From out of the darkness a shadowy figure arises... It's Greg, returning from beyond the rim. He comes and uses a plot hole generator (tm) to capture TLW.

[Girlbot]

Girlbot reverses time, steals the plot hole generator. Leaves "the Greg" hanging off the rim.
Grabs TLW and beams out.

[SoulReaver]

SoulReaver using the antitime plot device (ain't the first time he uses antitime) hacks into the timestream, reverses Girlbot's actions causing her to return to her cell & hand back TLW to him

although he keeps TLW, to her surprise he lets her go
something ain't right :/

Well, Girlbot's plan seems to have worked. Reaver has let her go. Imagine. It is truly a miracle. Of course Girlbot can never reveal how she managed that, cause she may need that trick again . But... Needless to say, it involved....minions. Since Girlbot has had a nice relaxing time lounging on the beach , drinking "painkillers", with the cabana boys, she can now deal with other things. Such as reacquiring TLW.
Easy enough. Girlbot sends a subspace message to Reaver's minions, and they send TLW to her.
Sadly for Reaver, no matter how much he relies on those minions of his, they can always be manipulated .
After making sure that TLW is clear of any recall devices,
Girlbot and TLW beam onto her ship, and take off for parts unknown.
