Im Straight (male), can I join? Im all for gay marriages, the supposed prinicpal for marrage is love, why do people not understand even that in relationships that aren't male - female. My school is full of the people that say, "thats gay to anything that displeases them", firstly that massively annoys me, find a new word, and its derogatory to people that are homosexual.

Also, for legal reasons its good to be married, you can sort out funeral arrangements, morgages and other stuff, so why should that not become available to everyone?

Personally, if Im going to insult someone, I try to be inventive, and use metaphors and other things that leave them pondering... and work it out later, lasting damage always is best

Second, I love your opinions. I hear all the time the phrase, "that's so gay" and being one myself I usually cringe and depending on who it is, I'll most likely make a comment in reply to this. Nicely of course. Most usually mean no harm and back pedal on their words apologizing. I like what you said though. Everyone should find a new word to express themselves everyday.

Here's a question for everyone: Do you celebrate Valentines Day, if you do, what do you do/buy for you GFs/BFs?

Last year I was single on Valentines Day (didnt meet my ex-gf till March) and once again I am celebrating this holiday alone. Being my first I dont have much to say here. All I know is that gifting someone (in any way) to show them you love/care for them all in one day outa the year is not my style. I'm a giver by nature so giving gifts, cards, lending my time, going outa my way, loaning money, etc.. just comes naturally to me and I do this 24/7, 365 days outa the year. One day is cheesy and never enough...least for me.

I don't celebrate it as in the way I buy stuff but I will this year put memo's all over the house for Amber and tell her everything I like her about her in one memo and she will read them all and then at the end I will post a memo on me and that will say: I love you

I know it is crazy but I like the idea and what a nicer way to say how amazing she is eh

I pretend it doesn't exist...cause realistically, I will still be alone that day.

that's a bit depressing... i mean i'm the first to gag at RL schmoop [( in fanfiction it's just cute, esp since i mostly read angst and first times )] but not celebrating because "you'll always be alone" just seems fatalistic... true commercialism says you gotta spend it with that someone special, but if you're single, and so are your friends, why not celebrate with them.... Valentine's is just another holiday to hang out with close friends and show a little extra affection than usual... i.e. i hang out with my best friend all the time... we go out to lunch and shop together, but i treat valentines as another reason to get her something just for the heck of it... any other time she'd want to repay me or just plain not accept me getting her something... basically, i treat valentine's like it's christmas or her birthday... makes the day more fun, and isn't as depressing if you don't have a partner....

I'll be back, as the well know clique has been repeatedly told... Suppose that is one of my faults, I'm quite vengeful; not a bad thing at times, others more so.

And on a random note after several misheard conversations the guys I work with now think I throw a weekly 'gay night' at my flat....it's actually game night and there are straight people who come round....but it's pretty funny too....heh...might rename it gay night anyway.
