Not for nothing, but I just posted a chapter of my own fic. I got an email notification that it had been posted but the site still shows nothing new has been posted. I guess the good news is, we're not missing notifications for fics we're following, but we can't see new things or updated, apparently.
I finished it in time to get it signed at AT7. Do you like it?
It's very nice! Great job.
Unmade Plans (WIP: 11/20): Sam's life takes a turn in an unexpected direction when she's faced with an unplanned pregnancy. The decision to keep the baby and raise it on her own will alter her life forever. Relationships are put to the test, especially the one between her and Jack. She doesn't know what to expect from him and he surprises her at every turn.
On FFnet or AO3
My S/J fics can be found on FFnet and AO3. I also tweet and tumble about the ship and my writing/stories.
Since this is the Lounge, and I have a pressing, off-topic question:
Do I have any British friends here who also love Sherlock? I have a few questions (best handled by PM), but I needed to find out who else I know here that likes it...
Oooh me me! Pick me!
Cake - an AU tale of secrets, lies, intrigue and Jack's favourite thing.
"When Colonel Maybourne and yourself were stranded off world, Major Carter felt a similar sense of frustration. She despaired at the thought of never seeing you again." ~Teal'c

Primary Emotions - it's brilliantly written but warning deals with very graphic sexual violence in parts, not for the faint-hearted. But it's such a well-written story that I finished it (so far, it's a WIP) and I've never been able to stomach any "Sam gets kidnapped and tortured" stories before. It's much more nuanced than your average fic dealing with this kind of subject matter.

Sam and Jack... Still the best romance on TV in years!
Thanks, guys! Let me do a little (read: a LOT) more writing and get back with you (assuming Muse doesn't completely chicken out and leave me high and dry). Will PM you. <3

Currently working on my stories. Especially my Covert affairs story. One of my OCs has been inspired by a character from Stargate at least in terms of looks.
I went to Spring Fair International on monday and looked at all this years trends right through to Christmas, I discovered some great wholesalers and I've picked out just over £120 worth of stuff from one place. I think that's pretty good for 6x 10 yards of hemp, 2 bead boxes with 18 compartments, 17 kinds of buttons (min pack size of 50 pcs) 4 colours of ribbon (25m), 12 tubes of silicon glue, and 25m of 'made with love labels'.
There's so much I would happily buy, I've limited myself to the things I've bought because they are multi-purpose - for example I'm not buying candy cane buttons as I can only use them once a year, but wooden buttons and red buttons can be used across the seasons.
I'm so excited! When I get back from AT7 I can make my first trade purchase! It never occurred to me to buy at trade prices until my Aunt told me to. She's got experience, having run a cleaning business before and recently begun trading as a clothing and home furnishings business.
I found some lovely little wooden chests I can turn into memory boxes, and some paper mache book trinket boxes. I can see those designed to look like River Song diaries, although I won't be able to call them that. There are so many things I could do.
I need to get my website shop completed so people can buy directly without having to contact me and pay from an invoice.
That sounds awesome Nei! I am currently trying to figure out if I can start selling some of the things I've been making. I know I can't make a living off it but it might be a really great way to make some extra income.
Here's a couple of things I've made in the last couple of weeks. I've also got some great patterns for amigurumi that I can't wait to make.
