How long were you and ainty in line for...Guess she lost my invite in the mail.....

I was in line for about fifteen minutes- and right near the front- about two minutes later the line was going halfway down the store and out the front door! And being near the front I got my book about five-ten minutes after midnight (but then I didn't get to start reading until 2am ). It was pretty packed at the place I was at- showing a movie, crafts, costume contest, typical Potter Party stuff. And all the free HP bookmarks and posters and stickers and bertie botts beans were fun too.

Edit: and when I say going halfway down the store, I'm talking about a massive grocery store, not some tiny little bookshop.

oh ok, thats alot of people......wow...... I saw it on tv and they showed the one from england and only one canadian was invited to the reading from the author.

Yup- and sidenote, what I thought was rather silly was that most of the kids at the reading looked/sounded like from collections of interviews on various sites, to be nine or ten years old (some definitely younger as well). Basically kids that can't have been reading the books for more than a year or two at the most! Where are the kids who have stuck through and waited years and years for the book? Anyway, I thought that was rather odd. I was expecting to see more thirteen to fifteen year olds in the audience. Not the *original* Potter "generation" kids that are now 17-22ish but the ones who came in more around Goblet-OotP. But I dunno- maybe I need to go re-watch the video, could have just been that the really young faces stuck out more.

I finished it about exactly two hours ago. I cried. A lot. I miss the series already, and I really hope she writes some follow-up short stories or something on some of the minor characters that we didn't get to see as much in the series.
