I realized after the initial voting closed that I'd forgotten one of my favorites: Heat Miser/Snow Miser. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy did a cover of it which is pretty good. The original still rocks, of course, but I like BBVD anyway and they seemed to stay fairly faithful to the original... at least compared to SOME remakes we shall never mention.

I've never seen any version other than the original (well, except for whatever you call that travesty NBC just did - I didn't stick around for the Heat Miser version ).

I thought about nominating it but while I love it, it's not really a christmas carol or something I've ever sang with a group of people. (of course neither is the Grinch but we'll - he's the grinch )

Favorite Christmas Movie: Either Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer or another one that I can't remember the name at the moment. Maybe someone can help me out. I haven't even watched any Christmas movies yet this year! I know (in the US) that they play this Christmas movie all the time. It's about St. Nicholas and in the beginning (I believe it's in the beginning) he's sitting in the house. He sees a little black cat and decides to carve a copy of it in a piece of wood. I'm thinking there's something with Father Time (maybe? I may be making this up) and his mother is this wood sprite. Why can't I think of it's name?

But, Squee, I consider the Grinch a Christmas movie. I only realized that when I was searching for Christmas movies that Rudolph and the Grinch (among others) were considered TV shows. I see them as movies--maybe made for TV, but still movies.
