I miss those too. I was looking forward to being a System Lord and was almost there when they switched. Now I never bother to look at the rep points title anymore (or the user title either).

Okay, looking for help from those of you that are tech-savy. My friend's computer and her daughter's laptop are both acting screwy. For the last week or so every time they try to run a program, it gets stuck in an endless "choose the best program to open" (even if they are opening internet explorer... and then it suggests using the internet explorer to open... you get the picture).

The kid figured out a work around by opening "my computer" and then just typing in the address for Google in the bar, but is there a way to get it to stop doing that? I'm worried their computers have been infected with something.

Edit: Oh yeah, definitely infected. Ugh. Managed to clean up a bit of stuff though. But friend's comp has two things claiming to be Internet Explorer - one of which is most definitely not!

Sounds like you've lost your file associations - the part of Windows that tells the computer what program to open by the file extension.

If you have spyware/virus - download malwarebytes - it's a great cleanup tool.

If the file associations haven't come back after the computer is cleaned up, post again and I can tell you how to re-establish them.
