    The 'official' Astrological Sign Thread...

    ...ok...so I was bored... There are so many 'official' this, that, and the other thing threads...that I figured, "Hey!...why not a Pisces thread??"...then I thought..."Heck, I might as well make it an Astrolgical Sign thread; no need to make folks feel left out." So...here it is.

    I'm a Pisces, born March 15th, 1978. Whatever that means...

    (ok, I know a little more about Astrology than that... but not much. )

    So... If you feel like it... post your sign. For that matter... if you feel like discussing astrology...why not?? After all... Astrology has a little to do with stargate. Every ancient culture used some form of Astrology. The Sumerians, Egyptians, Greeks, Israelites, Romans, and all the other peoples around that area all used pretty much the exact same Astrology. More or less the same one we use now.

    wow... this thread was pretty weak I guess... To be fair, though... only 11 people actually looked at it, and already it is near the bottom of the thread pile... So... I'll try to resurrect it for a bit to see if there are any bites.

      Well, hey why not huh?

      I'm a Leo. Don't know how much of the stuff I believe but I do find that I have many of the characteristics of a Leo. It is interesting.

                LOL... The reason I have 'stallion' as a part of my handle, is because I was born in the year of the Horse in the Chinese Zodiac. That combined with the pisces thing, is how I came up with Seastallion.

                          Pisces are generally considered to be the 'Dreamers'. The symbol of Pisces is two fish, that originally were tied together by the tails. One fish would try to go into the depths of the sea, while the other (sometimes thought of as a dolphin, I think) would try to stay near the shallows. The Pisces is supposed to be a natural spiritualist. It is representative of spiritual growth.

                          I didn't come up with all this stuff...

                          It is interesting to note... We are currently in the Age of Pisces. We are near the end of it now. The beginning of the age of Pisces was around the time of Jesus. That is why the early Christians used the fish symbol as their own. The next Age in the procession is Aquarius. (The Cloud, or water-bearer) Aquarius is supposed to be the Age of Enlightenment.

                          All of that gets into the Procession of the Ages, also known as "The Great Year". It last for 26,000 years, divided into 12 'Ages' that each last for about 2,166 years or so. There is a very ancient stellar observatory in ancient Egypt, at Napta Playa that was used to follow the Procession of the Equinox. (another name for the procession of the ages) It is sort of like 'Stone Henge' only older. So, in actuality... the Zodiac was used to mark the progression of time... specifically great spans of time. It makes one wonder how the ancients could come up with such a system of time measurement that lasts for so long. Especially if relatively 'advanced' civilizations didn't exist more than 10,000 years ago. After all, the Zodiac itself measures "Great Years" for 26,000 years by marking the movement of the Star Constellations in the night sky. One would think they'd have to have observed at least ONE full cycle, in order to use it. As it is... If classical archaeologist are to be believed, human civilization hasn't gone through even one single cycle yet. Curious... No??
