Electric engines have no engine parts attached, they are compact (2 can fit in a trunk), you can group them for more HP and more importantly, there is no transmission. That means the power goes straight to the wheels unlike conventional vehicles.

Battery life is actually good for most of them, as long as you have easy access to those new super fast recharge stations, but if you're rich that's not an issue is it? Also doubt one would go off-roading with a lambo.
    Spoiler:
I don’t want to be human. I want to see gamma rays, I want to hear X-rays, and I want to smell dark matter. Do you see the absurdity of what I am? I can’t even express these things properly, because I have to—I have to conceptualize complex ideas in this stupid, limiting spoken language, but I know I want to reach out with something other than these prehensile paws, and feel the solar wind of a supernova flowing over me. I’m a machine, and I can know much more.

It was cancelled on Syfy because they didn't get much out of it. It was still a popular, acclaimed show with good results. Amazon saw the potential (also thanks to a fan campaign) and picked it up. It then renewed it for Season 5 before the 4th. Also IIRC Bezos himself also liked it. Also everyone involved including the sets was still available to continue the gig.

Nothing about that applies to the current state of Stargate. There was a fan campaign followed by silence.

You know sh*t got real when Palpatine gets posted.

@thekillman It's like going to a show, the announcer warms the crowd, goes backstage and that's it. No bands, no music, just the guy announcing.

Back on topic, the how, I really think the show could only happen in the future. Simply bc a prequel wouldn't make sense, there was no Stargates being used and it would have to be based on Earth somehow.

It would make sense to have a setup 10-15 years after SGU, a complete new cast and stories, some kind of event (war, attack on Earth, something) happens, then over the course of the show we slowly learned what happened to Atlantis, SG1, etc. as background lore.

              You're welcome.

Now, back on topic... or the mods will come in and slap us senseless and back in line.

              Stargate is dead.

All there is left, is rewatch the show, or watch it for the first time, and write fanfic if you're into that sort of thing.
I have 2 seasons of SG-1 left to rewatch & 2 films, 5 of Atlantis, 2 SGU seasons to watch, 1 of Infinity and Origins to rewatch. That's at least another 5 years of Stargate ahead of me.

                On topic.

I have envisoned a few spin-off ideas in my Milky way 2020 thread if you go there. I am not against prequels in a new era, but the audience wants a direct continuation with cross-overs.

I really would like to see a Homeworld series which could be a combination of Relic Hunter / Men in black / Agents of shield. We all know that Daniel Jackson had a theory that pyramids were docks for alien ships. But then what would happen if the Stargate programmed would be revealed? I believe it should be done after the explosion of the SuperHive as it can not be denied with cover stories. But even if the revelation would or wouldn't happen, there would be limited access to Stargate. Earth citizens would know about the existance of alien life in the galaxy, so they have a new movement to find other alien relics on Earth. You know like some hardcore Erich von Daniken fans who would do anything know as they have proof such things exist. There would be good guys and badguy as well as everyone wants to find something valueable. Then a group of Homeworld agents would try to investigate some cases, fix problems, occasionally working together offworld to find more clues and try to stop the influence of an alien conspiracy. Some alien races could hide on Earth for thousan years from the Goa'uld.... Some aliens could have visited us in the past to be educated by the Great Alliance about the stargate system. Maybe the arrival of Atlantis could activate some galaxy wide recall beacons (like the Furling utopia type paradise), so the agents would find out what happened in the past (like chrystal skulls, Omoroca, Furlings, Salish aliens, Ancient language in Roman Empire, Janus time travels, SG-1 heritage in Egypt, Mahabharata, viking-Asgard legends, lost garden of Eden, Goa'uld influence) while they would work together with the SGC (which moved to the Moon for safety reasons, Atlantishas gone back to the Pegasus galaxy). SGC now could be a museum (or being rebuilt after an explosion) while the "real" stargate would be moved to the Moon and they use ring transport / Asgard beam between the Moon base and Washington. So there could be so much mythology related discoveries and adventures where they would not necesserily go offworld in every stories. Sometimes trouble would come to Earth on ships. I know it sounds like a half-stargate series, but maybe it could work or this would be the role of Homeworld as a supportive organization in the future of Stargate or if they want an Earth based, mainly Milky Way focused new stargate show.

Stargate Universe spoilers... FH still hasn't seen it, so I won't write it down direvtly. If you rememberb what happened in season 2 in Washington, then I wouldn't be surprised that they have to reveal the program after that event if the SuperHive was not enough.

And don't forget that 6000+ people have died in the Ori plague as well in 9x11 in spite of the vaccination if I remember well the number. Thiy can be also a hidden motive for any new main or secondary character if they lost a family member because of it. Or what if somebody wants to develop some biological weapon from the isolated tribe or it could prove the alien life... So Homeworld should deal with such threats.

I have also envisoned some recurring plotlines in a new stargate shows:
                  1. - like we could follow the adventures / consequences of a tour company, who would bring group of people (humans or aliens) to different worlds via stargate. Since the stargate works only as a military operation on Earth, this idea could work with a new advanced off-world civilization. Maybe these "escorted tours" would cause some disasters and the new heroes should help them out here and there
                  2. - like there would be a circus / carnival which would show up on different planets, but our heroes would slowly discover their real motives
                  3. - like a reality show, where viewers wouds follow expendable androids / clones who would go off-offworld to make some missions
These ideas could be used in any stargate system (MW, P or any newly introduced new galaxy), so while the new show wouldn't built on them these three could be quite a dangerous enemies / allies with a civilian background, so they could be used as a recurring story elements with similar roles what the Tok'Ra or Genii played.
"I was hoping for another day. Looks like we just got a whole lot more than that. Let's not waste it."

Or even the OP-CORE storyline could be introduced what they were planning forthe Stargate : Worlds :
                    https://stargateworldsmmo.fandom.com/wiki/OP-CORE
So what would be the opinion of our existing heroes if they could hear that the Tauri had an offworld prison? Has General Hammond or later General Landry known about it? What happened with the " we don't leave our menbehind" attitude? How would O'Neill react? Will they keep Todd or the host of Ba'al there? Would the OP-Core fly back to Earth with ships? Or would they also be an enemy of the Lucian Alliance?

Unfortunately such darker stories would harm the image of the USA Army, so it will never happen. But it would be also interesting to see such cases when SGC units haven't followed the protocols and these could create new background stories. Like what if somebody fathered a child off-world then he forced to stay on that planet as a forced marriage / diplomatic solution. A new Earth hero could live off-world who was "betrayed" and left behind by SGC. Or what if somebody is demoted from SGC as he/she can't cope with the responsibility as a representative of Earth. Maybe such characters could still be agents in Homeworld/NID/IOA. So basically I would like to see more human drama as well that not everyone is just black and white and even such stories could be told by stargate. You know every solar system can cause different biological changes and humanity must adapt to the local environments. But what if they can't return to Earth after it? (For example they inhale a local gas concentration from the air, but as soon as they return they would be ill or die, so those explorers must return to that planet regularly, so even the army protocol must be suspended as they must leave SGC against their will.)

I also would like to see new type of jumpers. If Atlantis has stayed on Earth for a while I am sure they will try to develop something as the Ancient Chair has gone in the series finale of Atlantis.

Even Universe could be half-continued if SG:U characters could return via the stargate, but they don't remember what has happened. Like Eli could show up , but he is extra motivated to find a way to save the others. And I have shared some ideas in other threads how I would save them anyway.

About half-continuing anything: There's a way to do it without using the characters from each show, but still building on the well-established mythology, science and technology discoveries. Trough those, continuity could be easily established while allowing the new show to introduce new sets, new props, new cast, new characters and a new plot. Not to mention that it would help expand SG's audience/fanbase.

There's still the one Ancient chair in Atlantis. Besides, what SGA was missing in its later seasons is episodes where the main/recurring/guest characters just explore the city. So why not tell a story which leads into a bigger storyline - that being the SGC finally deciding to go public with the support from the president and the goverment. However, the new leadership of SGC discovers that they have hardly anything in their possesion on Earth except for the Stargate itself and the items brought back to Area 51 to proove what they're saying. So the new General (or whoever would be in charge of the SGC by then) orders for any available technology in Atlantis and on Destiny to be re-created on Earth. Well, at least what's possible to re-create and make genuine SGC versions of the technologies:
                      - The Ancient Chair in Atlantis and its drones;
                      - The Puddle Jumpers
                      - The Orion
                      - the device that almost made McKay ascend (probably next to impossible)
                      - stasis pods in Atlantis and the ones on Destiny
                      - any other previously explored/unexplored technology pieces in Atlantis and on Destiny
                      - Pegasus Stargate
                      - Destiny Stargate
                      - MW Stargate
                      - ZPM
                      - Desitiny's space shuttles
                      - etc. etc.

That could lead into amazing storylines with new interesting characters. Maybe make some expeditions who bring back stuff trough the Gate. Others could just use Earth's exisiting technology combined with the ancient technology to make blueprints and also documentaries on how dooes something work and what is necessary for it to work in case of it not being mobile or just it being half-mobile. Have the new show build upon what SG-1, SGA and SGU have already set. Show there are other people with their own ideas on how to end an ass-class day (for whatever reason) with a party after everything is over and any danger has passed. Have the SGC simply explore the civilizations our heroes have met and bring back evidence that they exist and explain how are they connected with our civilization.

Sure, there would probably be new/old enemies to deal with along the way, but at least the new SG teams/expeditions would learn from the mistakes of the SG teams/expeditions that preceeded them which would also lead to interesting situations thanks to different and more rational thinking by the new people. A concept like that could easily attract new audiences while still keeping at least a portion of hardcore fans satisfied. Also, introducing new stuff wouldn't hurt which would lead into the new characters dealing with entirely new problems - as in - loose the concept "I've read Carter's/o'Neill's/dr. Jackson's etc. report on the thing, so let's just try to do something similar!". Have the new characters think really hard out of the box and not just stay reliable on the mission reports from SG team members that preceeded them. Show the new blood of the SGC making some new contacts/friends while meeting some old ones along the way and explore the final outcome of it and how things got to the final outcome on whatever and whoever. Show who was affected by the new events and surroundings and how. Use that to set up any further spin-offs.

Eventually, reveal what happened in Pegasus and Destiny respectively after the end of those two shows, but have the new characters reveal it when the time is right and not just because... fanservice. Use the old characters mostly in flashback scenes which would further hint on stuff from the past shows. Just bringing back old crew to finish up what was not given the chance to be finished in the first place doesn't make any sense anymore. Keep both new and old viewers interested that way. And when the time comes, end everything in a way that makes sense. Whatever that would be.

                          Maybe he has ascended.

What we need... (Chiana.... ) ... so what we need to be able think outside of the box. I mean we loved SG-1 and Atlantis and the Destiny ship, but a new SG show should not necessarily build on these characters and places. I mean everyone wants a direct in-canon continuation and not a reboot, but a new show should stand on its own. We could still refer to old storylines and characters, but sometimes I feel that most of the fanfictions are strongly connected to the source material instead of letting it go.

I think fanfiction will always be strongly connected to the source material because if it weren't, it would mean the author would have to come up with more content themselves, and not everyone is gifted (like you) to invent a whole new world, or a whole new set of characters... and do right by them.

Yes, Stargate we knew is finished. SG1 got rid of the System Lords, SG1 got rid of the Ori. There job is done & they have moved on to fast ships with Asguard technology.

Now it is time for a new crew to dust off the Stargate & go find a new enemy/threat/ally.
With the odd referrence to the original SG1 team who have retired off-world. Maybe if said originals are not now senile they could make cameo appearances and the new mob could chat with them.
(I do not know if having reruns of their episodes would encourage new fans to look-up the original DVD collection.) I know towards the end of SG1 & the System Lords I was getting fed up of the 'flash-backs' and pined for new adventures and new content, but we need to encourage new fans.

It depends how much time they feel like investing in a show.

I have watched all of Doctor Who, the classics, because I happened to have time for it but I can imagine not everyone would do that.
