Then there's the access we get to cast and crew, and attendance to nearly every Star Wars Celebration in the world, from the USA to Japan, and Europe. I had breakfast once next to Anthony Daniels, and had Warwick Davies apologize to me and a few others when his son, rather enthusiastically, nearly ran us over with his tricycle in our hotel in Germany.

Spend entire evenings with people from the Celebration organization talking about a whole plethora of things, only later being told I'd been casually chatting with one of the higher ups of Reed Pop and Lucasfilm. Okay... ("I didn't say anything stupid, now did I?")

Get to attend exclusive events, and build new props and sets to show of to the community and Disney, and the actors -- cause yes, our props and sets are nearly all autographed and that includes George Lucas' autograph on one of the legs of our AT-AT walker. The most precious leg in our possession, I might add. We joked about sanding it off once and nearly gave our group's president a heartattack -- never did that again.

Everything I get to do with Star Wars is because of Stargate. If I'd never gotten an interest in it, I would never have joined the Prop Crew, so by extension I should thank MGM for leading the way to Lucasfilm and Disney. Bloody hell, I even get to do more awesome things for Microsoft when they need my friend's Masterchief to attend gaming events (I doubt they quickly forgot the look I gave them when the PR-guy handed me the Halo 4 box and I asked him what for and he replied as a gift for helping out and I was like... "Really?!? -- For real?" ... like a kid in a candystore -- like Gollum and his ring, "My precious!").

I haven't felt that kind of love from MGM in the nearly 2 years now that Command has been in the picture -- nowhere near as close.

Next Celebration, for anyone interested, is in Chicago in April.
And both our Millenium Falcon sets will be represented (they are currently being shipped). And a surprise new build, even I don't know about, because due to circumstances (personal and family related) I never got around to signing the NDA for Disney and therefor didn't get a chance to help build it.
Jealous. That's all I can say. Jealous. I'll happily admit it.

We could just refer to them as Tau'ri -- humans. We can be the Hok'Tauri -- Advanced humans.

The things I got to experience because of Star Wars are incredible, and I really count all my blessings cause to all good things do come endings. So, I enjoy them to the fullest.

My network sees everything. I don't hate FH. I never have been a Star Wars person. Now if she got to build an Enterprise, it would be a different story

What about "nougat"? It is also a type of chocolate while it can also mean "no gate".

I don't hate FH. I am proud of her that she followed her dreams and she is happy what she is doing. I wish all of us could say the same.

I like Star Wars especially the Episode III. That is my favorite, please don't throw rocks. I loved the Clone Wars animation series too. Probably I am more connected to the prequel trilogy as I have grown up on these ones (if age 19-25 counts). But Ep. VII. and especially Ep. VIII. managed to turn me to the Dark Side. What a second! All Goa'uld starts on that Side. Hmmm I am in a moral dilemma. So the Dark Side of the Goa'uld would be when they turn into pure Good like singing Disney characters? Imagine Apophis as he picks up flowers and hugs squirells in the woods. Meh...

            Oh, I love nougat. Mmmm...
            Love the double meaning too.

Wanna throw rocks -- -- one of my favorite characters of the modern day episodes is Jar-Jar Binks. Quite possibly the most hated character in the SW universe, but I love him.

              Spoiler:
I don’t want to be human. I want to see gamma rays, I want to hear X-rays, and I want to smell dark matter. Do you see the absurdity of what I am? I can’t even express these things properly, because I have to—I have to conceptualize complex ideas in this stupid, limiting spoken language, but I know I want to reach out with something other than these prehensile paws, and feel the solar wind of a supernova flowing over me. I’m a machine, and I can know much more.

Is that why you were Jar Jar in aretood's Star Wars parody?

Oh for crying out loud! They frigging delayed it again. That's it, no more mister nice guy... I'm done with this sh*t. I really am. Let them pick the winners, I no longer care either way. If I win, it will still be nice, but I'm definitely no longer counting on anything.

I hate I was right. Again. This has simply turned into a bad joke. If I would do my job with this attitude if there is deadline then I would be fired. They hurt those people who were brave and patient enough to step-up to help this franchise and community. And he dares to write such comment "Final push!". I have the same feeling like you NickEast as we should turn into Baltar mode.

I will be off anyway for 2 weeks after Sunday, so the picture quizes will be suspended until I am on my holiday and we can see if the activity I am away. You know I have waited patiently, so I've missed the deadline for the escorted trip to Peru. Anyway I will arrange something in Europe.

FH: I love Jar Jar. He was a more exciting sidekick character than Captain Phasma. He was funny in the Hungarian language as the translator created a mixed Hungarian-Nicaraguan language for him. So he talked with lots of grammar errors as well.

                      edit.

I mean, I know it's famous last words when I post "Final push," but I'm
also trying to bend reality to my will and make it happen ASAP. There are
just some things in life that neither I (nor Stargate Command) have any
control over. Hopefully no one blasts me with a staff weapon in the process
                      of delivering the news.
If these guys are charge of SG:C as I believe FH has found it out that the app is licensed through the Tongal by MGM, then I have a bad feeling we will never ever get an app update or extension.

                              Thanks.

It's not actually the delays themselves that are the worst part. I can handle that. It's the fact that there are so "many" short delays (relatively speaking) in quick succession just a couple of hours before the supposed deadline which hurts.

Newbie mistake from the comms team. Never give a date unless you are 300% sure.
