They would have woken up eventually and they were destroying worlds even before that.

True, the wraith would have woken up, but as we saw from the Genaii, that was at least (or should have been) 30+ years down the line, which may have been sufficient for the Genii's plan to nuke them all.

It would never have worked. The Wraith would have adapted after a few nukes. That is not to mention of how fast Wraith can regrow ships

No way were the Genii ever going to actually nuke every wraith in the galaxy.

Maybe it wouldn't have, but nuking even a dozen or so, while they slept would have left them very fractured..

They wouldn't have even gotten that many, and even if they had, it wouldn't have left them fractured. What left them fractured is that there isn't enough food for them all.

No it wouldn't. They wouldn't stay sleeping

How would the Genii nuke hibernating ships on planets with the gate in orbit or no gate at all?

The only reason the Genii were that hard to beat was because they were underestimated from the start and were given way too many chances to redeem themselves...

it was all Teyla's fault in my opinion. If she hadn't lost that damn necklace in the first place, the Wraith would've stayed asleep and SGA wouldn't have sought an alliance with the Genii.

Yeah i know they were supposed to be primitive farmers and Teyla brought the team there for food, but it goes to show you how easily she could be deceived. She was a crappy leader.

The Genii would never be able to nuke more than a handful of ships. The wraith wouldn't wake en mass (It was the knowledge of Earth that woke the Wraith, not our attack on the Keeper), but would increase security across all ships. Nukes from the outside are ineffective, and once the first few nukes hit the Wraith would instantly search their ships and prevent easy access. The Genii dont have the tech to pull off a galaxy-wide simultaneous nuke, and merely a few minutes would be enough for the Wraith to alert all others and prevent further nuking. And the Genii would be lucky to pull off nukes within an hour of eachother when dealing with interstellar distances.

I don't subscribe to the school of "if they're not allies, they must be made extinct" thinking. The Pegasus galaxy has to be turned over to the locals at one point. May as well ensure they're actually capable of defending it. For the majority of the show, the Genii were the only remotely technologically advanced race actually capable of contributing anything. Why destroy them?

Yea no. We'd have encountered the wraith sooner or later, they'd still have interrogated us sooner or later and inevitably would've learned of earth (it's like, basic knowledge every single Atlantis member has), awoken en masse and tried to destroy us.

Teyla's people traded with the genii. We'd eventually have met them, noticed the radiation signs and realized who they really were. We'd inevitably seek their aid because again, most technologically advanced potential ally in the galaxy. Like, the entire galaxy.

It's not teyla's fault. We'd have run into all these problems inevitably. And if Teyla wasn't there at all, we'd have starved due to lack of proper trading or enforced basic survival by bloody murdering tribes for their supplies.
