    Bands with references to Stargate

    Well I know one band:

    Pagan's Mind.

    They play a very epic progressive metal style. One of the best metal bands around there if you don't listen to their newer album though.

    Anyway, back on topic. Very very direct references to stargate like the lyrics:

    "Entrance To Infinity
    The heavens passage through the Stargate"

    "Ascension of my consciousness
    Secret circles of force, an ancient entity"

    "In the sacred sands of Egypt
    A secret, wisdom revealed
    Carried by immortal gods
    Ancient power of distant forces

    I am immortality, ancient creator
    Gods of higher sphere
    Enter the Stargate
    Gate to seventh star
    A constellation far "

    And just look at their artwork for their albums:

    Do you guys know any other bands doing the same?

    I know of one song that could be Stargate related, it is Burning the Lives by Shadows Fall.

    Lyrics (these are not in order)

    "Soon a darkened pyramid will rise." A possible reference to a ha'tak.

    "Lost in blindess, serving shielded masters still unknown." A possible reference to Jaffa's worship of their false gods.

    "Chaos is their goal, corrupt your heart and soul." A possible reference to an implantation.

    "Burning the lives and the pride of the innocents, tearing down all that we built." A possible reference to a Goa'uld invasion.
    Does it say Colonel anywhere on my uniform?

      Well there’s the Mortiis album called Stargate with a couple of tracks on it, this was released in 1999

      Mortiis – Across the world of wonders
      Harken! Warriors, for our creator now urge us onwards…
      Again we shall travel
      To conquer and kill!
      By sword, axe and hand…
      Into the gate of the stars…
      Out into lands new and unconquered…
      We march now…
      We heed the call…
      Towards the gate of the stars…

      Mortiis - I Am The World
      I am the world
      the world beyond the stars...
      I am the keeper of screaming mountains,
      the portal between worlds...
      A world of wonder,
      a world of glory.
      I was created by a scribbling hand,
      by a mind that always believed...
      That his mind could create me...
      Where is he now?
      The god from beyond...
      I have never seen him,
      yet we have always been together...

        Star One a project my legendary musician Arjen Anthony Lucassen has a track called The Eye Of Ra which is about the original Stargate Movie.

        The other tracks are about other sci-fi movies
        * High Moon - Outland
        * Songs of the Ocean - Star Trek IV
        * Master of Darkness - Star Wars, but more specifically Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
        * The Eye of Ra - Stargate
        * Sandrider - Dune
        * Perfect Survivor - Alien
        * Intergalactic Space Crusaders - Blake's 7
        * Starchild - 2001: A Space Odyssey, and 2010

        Truly a fantastic album for sci-fi fans

          I wonder if they got permission to use those images. I imagine they're copywrighted, if you can do such things.

          The question which once haunted my being has been answered. The future is not fixed, and my choices are my own... and yet, how ironic! For I now find, I have no choice at all! I am warrior... let the battle be joined.-Dinobot-Code of Hero
