Ok I Think its clear to us superfans that the Hammond was not ready for battle. BUT they shoud've put a line in about it not being complete or whatever caused it not to preform to 100% ability. .
This is my point....and what I'm sick of......why is it always the same lame old "not ready for battle story"? I want to see our ships sink their teeth in and be felt. So what, it's not like the plot can't go on. Doesn't take a high paid writer to let a ship or 2 slip by.
