I do not know why people keep putting Letters From Pegasus before Moebius. Moebius takes place first. At the beginning of Moebius(Part 1) Daniel said "With a fully functional Z.P.M we could power Earth's defenses and open a wormhole to the Pegasus galaxy." SG-1 originally intended on keeping the Z.P.M for Earth because they had not yet gotten the message from Atlantis. Later, when Letters From Pegasus happens Earth decided that Atlantis needed the Z.P.M more. Although it does seem that they were aired a little out of order. At least in the USA. Chronologically the end of SG1 Season 8 happens before Letters To Pegasus although I'm not sure how much time passes between the end of Season 8 and Letters From Pegasus.

In Moebius, they refer to the time ship as a puddle jumper, the first time in SG1 it was referred to as such and this name was coined in the pegasus galaxy after they lost contact with earth, therefore Moebius had to take place after Earth got a message from Atlantis.

as season 8 of SG-1 starts, season one of SGA starts, and yes stargate atlantis goes on after SG-1 ended, in season 3 of atlantis, they reference the timeline. (episode: whispers) i dont know how far youve seen into the show so i wont spoil it for you.

I disagree. SG1 and Atlantis go hand in hand. Watching S8 and S1 for example, you can see a lot of prep coming for the Siege Pt 2.

Nickblack, could you perhaps enlighten me as to why you chose to distribute the S2 SGA eps around the Sg1 eps in the order that you did? I'm aware that Intruder HAS to be after Avalon Pt 2, but I wouldn't have said it needed to be that late on in the game... and why group certain eps together?

I think that this a decent idea, i mean some people may want to watch all SG1 and SGA side by side, using this it makes it alot easier as to where each episode fits in, if you aren't really sure.

I first saw the later years of SG-1 and early years of Atlantis on video. I watched all of SG-1 Season 8, then all of Atlantis Season 1. The same for the subsequent two years. I guess that's why the alternating has no meaning to me.

You really don't have to. But it adds to the enjoyment if you ask me. You should try it. Stuff like, when Weir says that the SGC has no ships that can respond to the Wraith threat... it's good to know that that's because only an hour ago or so, they were damaged by the incoming Ori ships...

Well its set after when the Ori are defeated and the last Baal finally gets to pay for his crimes. You don't need to watch all those Atlantis episodes before it though, it could really be watched immediately after the Ark of Truth.
