How do you intend to artillery barrage Death gliders, Al'keshes and Ha'taks?

The Goa'uld have space ships! How on Earth could a modern human force withstand a Ha'tak orbital bombardment or arial assault with fighters and bombers armed with energy weapons that can effortlessly reach orbit?

Massed armour would be sitting ducks against Goa'uld air strikes. The energy weapons would melt straight through them.

In "Children Of The Gods" we saw that stingers can easily take out deat gliders so imagine what a Patriot battery could do to them. Hat'aks of course could beat us but what can they do AFTER we obliterate ALL of their planets. Thats assuming the Asgard don't come save us. At the end os season 1 instead of sending SG-1 to kill the Mothership we would have nuked them. In the end best that the Goa'ould get is Mutualy Assured Destruction.

Now if the Goa'ould had any tactics or half-decent training for their Jaffa and put Iris's on their stargates.

Hmm let's see. Assuming the success of the movie and Children of the Gods, SG-1 would likely have stayed dead when they died the first time in The Nox. Having an alien race around who just happens to be able to resurrect the dead is pretty convenient. That would be the end of that.

But let's say they survived to the end of the season, Within the Serpen'ts grasp would have been the end. It was too convenient that they managed to gate aboard the ship just before it leaves, that no one guarded the gate, and that once they were found they weren't killed or disabled immediately.

Yes, in real life the SG teams would've been more tactful and stealthier (So no attacking Goa'uld strongholds, see a Goa'uld? Go away until you're sure you can risk an attack. Also they would say they aren't from Earth, but from Colony X). Also, they would've established colonies asap as to spread the risk of attacks, or in other words, the colonies would've been used as primairy SGCs and the one in Cheyanne mountain would've been a backup and as a connection through where materials can be send to the colonies until they get self sufficient, after that it's only used to send people (No need risking Earth when you can use your colonies).
