Stargate Bad Guys (Possible Spoilers)

Has anyone noticed, that ALL the Stargate off-world baddys and Goa'uld have BRITISH accents??
Khalek, Apophis, Hathor, quite a few of the different priors, the Doci, Heru'ur, ok, almost all of the Goa'uld, Vala (When she took over Prometheus)

Well, the Doci was Julian Sands, whose job description is basically "I play bad guys with a British accent". He even had a British accent when he was playing a Russian terrorist in 24!

Isn't Suanne Braun (Hathor) South African too?

Well people concern the British Accent with being Sensible, Sophisticated, Important and smart. This is why both powerful bad guys i.e the Goa'uld and powerful good guys i.e The Ancients (And a few Asgard) have the accent.

Also the american accent came from the british one and the british one is much older.

I think we can break this down further. All baddies speak with the crisp southern posh accent. Noone speaks with a northern accent, which is odd considering barnsley and geordi are two of the most threatening accents in the world! (Tried and tested, shouting "Tha wot?" in a strong barnsley accent if someone mutters something will cause them to immediately back-down and apologize)

I like the British accent for the villians. Not sure why though. I guess it gives them a chance to stand out from the crowd. Maybe the glowing eyes weren't enough.

I can sort of picture them with a New York City accent though (NOT!). I can hear it in my head, but there is no way I can do it justice by writing it phonetically.
