Well, it is said Tretonin is a substance derived from ground-up Goa'uld symbiotes. So I would presume ALL of the symbiote is used.

If you need Tretonin I would suggest you use all of the symbiote just to be sure you have the part you need.

I don't think the ingredients and mixture were ever confirmed - like Who Knows said,the Tretonin was derived from ground up Symbiotes.
