    Semitic Origin for Zat Ni'katel

The term for the little "zat" beloved by many an SG-1 fan would appear to get its name from a semitic language. It could represent the phrase (though, perhaps not with the best word order) "This one destroys/kills" or (depending on your semitic tongue) "He killed this," "This one killed" or even "We will kill this"

The verbal root "ltq" as well as the pronoun "tz" seem to be related. (sorry no Hebrew or Aramaic fonts)

    interesting :O
Noticed it too ( speak only arabic fluently but have a basic knowledge of a few semetic languages ) assumed they used that since it fit so well.
