dakara was a destructive wave of energy which ripped apart all bonds. it can not create life, it's nonsense. it does not work that way

what so Anubis planned to eradicate all life then what....he couldnt use his freaky ascended powers he'd have to use the weapon.

why would the ancients create a device which destroyed everything?

dakara, from the looks of it, was meant to end the Plague. when they found out they could not specifically annihilate the plague, they realised they had to eradicate ALL life.

why? if they got rid of all life, there would be nothing left, THEY had the plague too, how would they get around that? healign each other can only last so long.

come to think of it, why are we debating this, the writers did not think this much into it, they had Anubis say it was used to recreate all life after the plague, so unless its stated on screen thats what is going to be believed.

we cant create a stargate, or create a weapon to kill ascended beings, that doesnt mean its not possible (in the SG universe)

the ancients left for pegasus, the last healthy ancients, the rest died out by the plague or by dakara.

you can not possibly, even with 100% applied plebhotinum and handwavium, recreate life.


come to think about it, using Dakara's destructive energy twice in rapid succession might do some terraforming.

the first wave annihilates any present toxic chemicals etc and converts it to base elements. because a huge amount of energy is most likely released, some will immediately react back. the second wave is different energy, which causes certain reactions to benefit life. an UV flash combined with strong electrical discharges generates Nitrate and other basic materials needed for life. carbon could react with oxygen to form carbon dioxide, any present bound oxygen is released into the air, there will be plenty of basic needed materials.

so it could form the basis for Terraforming. it can not create life. nor complex molecules

I said that before, it creates the opportunity for life, creating a kind of "primordail ooze", certain proteins can create life...they recently did os in a lab
