Wraith. Both are strong, tough, but a skin job cant regen damage. And 6s have lots of exposed skin. Queen feeds 4 a few seconds whenever she gets the cgance, 6 dies.

      Okay how about this one.

ZPM powered 304 with Asgard upgrades versus top of the line (last produced) ZPM powered, Ancient manned Aurora Class.

Aurora IMO. I think an Ancient ship will run better with an Ancient power source than an Earth made ship with Asgard tech strapped on.

No real clue how powerful a ZPM powered Aurora actually is so its really impossible to know.

Wow.....what an answer. Completely justified with both opinion and fact, and a great way to keep the thread going.......

The Aurora, built by the ancients, imo. Powered by ZPM, with full strength drones, btter shields and more intuitive controls for the crew, I think they'd have the win.

I'd vote Aurora to, if they're smart enough to fire a giant spam of drones at once. If they trickle them out one at a time like retards they get smoked by wank beams.

BSG vs Stargate fist fight round 4

Ronon Dex, master Wraith slice and dicer vs Chief "Crazy eyes" Tyrol the synthetic humanoid necksnapper

Well, I would say Ronon, because although the Crazy Eyes is now a skin job, he don't have half the technique the Dex does. sateda for the win.
Oh, and we don't hate the Dex xharaxter as much.

Covenant Carrier, easily. it's plasma burns through armour in seconds and keeps going unless steps are taken to stop it burning straight through the hull. they also have laser turrets and point defence, as well as a massive complement of Seraph fights, who also have personal sheilds. The Wraith have no shields, and their regen don't work that quickly. Their fighters would be outclassed, tho the Wraith would be better pilots, but the Seraphs have shields and darts don't.
Covenant win, Wraith burn, easy win.

Wraith armor can withstand naquadah enhanced nukes and their own weapons which are likely plasma based why should the Covenants weapons be any more effective than the Wraiths? Are their any feats or examples of the Carriers hitting a planet like the Wraith in Misbeggotten (which created visible explosions from space).

I have no doubt the Covenant fighters will be better one on one but Darts have been known to go on suicide runs and number in the hundreds.

Actually, yes. In all the canon. They GLASS planets with their plasma. Their plasma can go right through over two metres of titanium armour and keep on going.
The plasma aslo tracks the opponent.

yeh, we all know how consistant hives are, hives that can withstand nukes(tactical ones, at that) but railgun rounds punch straight through......

How long does it take them to glass the planets though and with how many ships? The materials in SG are a lot stronger than titanium and Hives are apparently 11km long.

Rail guns have never punched straight through, Caldwell even had to wait until the Dart bays were open before he gave the order to fire implying that the Dart bay doors would be at least partially resistant to rail guns.

They do penetrate, it's just they are too small to damage such a massive ship! Am pretty sure they waited till the doors were open so not only would they cause damage, but they would kill the Darts, too.
That's true, the materials are a lot stronger. But the plasma does the same to the Covenant hulls (Halo First Strike) and they sure ain't titanium.
usually a period of hours, but they have several ships, soemtimes dozens, so the time scale changes.
Anyway, the Covenant Carrier is 5km, so smaller than the hive (although there are places that say the hive is 6km).
I think it would come donw to boarding action. And plasma rifle => stun gun.

that being siad, apparently the Carrier in Halo is no longer classified as a carrier, but an assualt carrier, as in the books there is another carrier which is smaller, only about twive the size of the Pillar, or three times that of a normal frigate.
i'm going to assume you mean the big arse one form the games tho?
It also has an energy projector beam, in that case.

I don't know much about Halo but aren't the humans in its setting semi holding their own against the Covenant with roughly BSG type weaponry? Giant railguns, nukes and such?

If the covenant can "glass" planets with their fleets then that does put them in the same sort of range as naquada enhanced nukes for their weapons but what are their defences like? How many hits can one of their ships withstand from its own weaponry and what sort of ranges and fire rates do they have?

Since a lot of Halo is in books I'm betting they have ranges at least better than the spitting distances of Sg.
